Xuppu[8] is a supporting character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. He is the kwami of Derision[9] who is connected to the Monkey Miraculous.[10] With his power, Xuppu's wearer can use the circlet to transform into a monkey-themed superhero.
Xuppu and his Miraculous are currently owned by Lê Chiến Kim, who uses it to transform into the superhero King Monkey.
Appearance[]
Xuppu is 10 centimeters (or 4 inches) tall[5] and is light brown with a yellow mark on his face. He has yellow ears, brown eyes with the irises being black, and a long tail.
Personality[]
Xuppu is pretty energetic and talkative, which can come off as funny sometimes. He is also bit immature, for example, he does not like being called names, which he retaliates against by calling people names and making faces at them. He also quite enjoys some of the results of his brethren's powers, as he found Trixx's illusion of the Loch Ness monster quite funny.
He is also very cheeky and is not afraid of mocking others, including his own owner. This is shown when Xuppu was not afraid of explaining Orikko's power's limitations to Gabriel as if he was not smart enough to understand a more technical explanation and going as far as explaining other examples to him when he asks rhetorical questions or dodging the actual intent of his question.
Abilities[]
Xuppu can fly, levitate, and phase through solid objects. He can also carry objects that are larger and/or heavier than himself.
As a kwami, Xuppu is able to transform the holder of the Monkey Miraculous into a monkey-themed superhero.
He gives his wielder the ability to user the superpower Uproar, which allows the holder to summon an item with their weapon to later throw it at the opponent. Once struck, it will cause the target's powers and abilities go temporarily out of control.

Lê Chiến Kim[]
At first, Xuppu looks like he and Kim don't get along (since Xuppu calls Kim a nitwit and Kim calls Xuppu a plushie) as the two make exchange of funny faces but is impressed that Kim is a quick learner.
In "Ephemeral", "Kuro Neko", "Penalteam", and "Risk", Xuppu meets Kim again when they are needed to help Ladybug fight against Moolak, Rogercop, Penalteam, and an unseen villain, respectively.
As of "Re-creation", he is reunited with Kim following Gabriel's death after Marinette recovered his miraculous and repaired back to it's original form. He is seen playing with him before joining with Ladybug and Cat Noir on another adventure.

- Xuppu was first revealed from a second season trailer on August 31, 2017.[11]
- Xuppu's name was confirmed in the credits of the Latin American Spanish dub of "Sandboy".[12]
- Among many things, monkeys are symbols of honor, instinct, swiftness, and playfulness.
- The monkey is the ninth animal of the Chinese zodiac.
- Xuppu is the only known kwami with a name related to one of their holders (Sun Wukong, the Monkey King); his name is based on Xu Sheng, a character that rejects the existence of Sun Wukong before becoming a devotee of his, in the story "The Great Sage, Heaven's Equal" written by Pu Songling.
- Along with Ziggy, he is one of the only known Kwami named after people.
- In the Brazilian dub, Xuppu is called Tuppu.
- In the French dub, Xuppu's name is pronounced "Z-uppu"; it is pronounced "Sh-uppu" in the English and Portuguese dubs to match the Chinese pronunciation of X.
- Xuppu's favorite food being bananas is a reference to the dietary habits of real monkeys.
- It is hinted by Wayzz in "Truth", that Xuppu has never used his power without a holder.
