Narrator2: There was once a time when Gabriel Agrest didn't want to cause the demise of Ladybug and Cat Noir. There was once a time when he stood up for those in need, protecting the weak from the strong. There was once a time, when-well once was a hero. That was a long time ago though, very long in fact. You might be asking yourself, if it was so long ago, how come I'm telling you this? How come I'm taking the time and energy, the life and heart? Well, the past is the past, nothing can change that, but we can learn from the past, embrace it! And use the lessons from it and try to better our future, to better ourselves. We start this story, not at the beginning of Gabriel's life, but at the beginning of his adventure...
Emilie: That was one of the nicest dinners I have ever had! You're really trying to make this special aren't you?
Gab: Is it working?
Emilie: We'll see! (Smiles in that special way that only she can, Gabriels heart aches to hold her.)
Narrator2: Wait, this isn't the beginning!
Narrator1: It's not?
Narrator2: No, but keep going, we'll explain later.
Gabriels thoughts: I can't pull her close, not yet, I haven't been truthful to her!
Gab: The night isn't over yet, we still have the movie to look forward to. (Pauses, unsure of how to go on) Em-Emilie? I love you and I want to spend as much time as I can with you, but you need to know something!
Emilie: I think I already know what you are about to say, but do go on!
Gabriels thoughts: Oh great stars, under the moonlight she looks like an angel! How I would love it if she would just lean into my arms and kiss me! Ergh! Stay focused Gabriel! It's hard enough telling her the truth about where you keep going off to. I'm just grateful Nooroo hasn't popped out.
Gab: Do you know the hero "nymphalid"?
Emilie: He's the hero that has been helping all of Paris? It's a dangerous idea, but it seems to be working well, with Viperine helping him. Though they don't get the credit they need, with no one really remembering what happens and all.
Gab: And-and if I told you I was him?
Emilie: I would say I already knew! You really are terrible at lying! And I have a secret for you too, I'm Viperine!
Narrator1: Gab's mouth hangs open, eyes filled with wonder at the girl he has fallen in love with. Emilie's laughter and amusement distracts him from his own thoughts. Emilie pulls him close and kisses him, for a moment, time seems to stop and everything but the two lovers disappear. They finally pull away from each other.
Gab: Em, you're full of surprises!
Narrator1: Years pass like this, Nymphalid and Viperine, the inseparable duo! You want to know how they work right? Well, anyone Viperine was touching while going back in time remembered! So after the person with the negative emotion reformed felt better, they went back in time so no one would remember! This was all Master Fu's idea. Yes the very same, but he looked different, he was always worried about the person Gabreil could become! Back then, his reasons were pure, so Fu thought no harm would come of it. Everything was working perfectly, until six months before their wedding...
Gab: NO, NO, NO!!! It's all wrong!! The designs are ALL wrong!
Nathalie: Mr. Gabriel, Ms. Emilie wishes to see you, shall I send her in?
Gab: Yes, yes send her in! I could use a break and she is my biggest inspiration.
Nathalie: I-I will send her in.
Narrator1: Nathalie takes one more look around the room in despair, papers both crumpled and not are scattered all over the floor. The trash can is full of papers and broken pens! The table is stained, and Gab has paced on the floor so much that he has worn out part of the carpet, then she leaves. Now, in the time that had passed, from the first date to then, Gabriel Agrest had made quite a name for himself in the fashion community. He was now one of the most sought after designers of his time! Emilie too was making a big splash, though she didn't feel like she had earned it the way Gabreil did. Her parents were rich and famous, giving her all the resources she needed. The media only has speculations that the two were dating, but speculations were enough for right then. There are a few things you must know about Gabriel's assistant, Nathalie. She was always jealous of Emilie, and hated that she was. Once upon a time, they were both friends, they trained together to be models, but because of Emilie's connections, she always got the job and Nathalie was, well, a nothing. Or, at least that's what it felt like. Finally Gabriel made Nathalie his assistant, and she fell in love with him. Both Emilie and Nathalie liked him, but she respected Gabriels wishes to be with Emilie. Now, Gabriel wasn't stupid or naive by any standers. He knew how Nathalie felt about him, even if she never said it, he also knew that she would listen to him more if she was in love with him. If you think this is cruel, well I hate to say it but you're right! I can't sugarcoat it, as much as I want to. But maybe, just maybe, he has a reason for it? Maybe he himself has been used like this so many times to just think that it was the way the world worked?
Emilie: Gab! I have big news for you! (crinkles nose) This room is a mess!
Gab: I know, I know! It's a wreck. I haven't been able to focus. (looks into her eyes) Maybe it's because my muse went away on a secret mission without me?
Emilie: Well, I was talking to the Master, and he agreed that a different miraculous might be more complimentary to yours.
Gab: (Super shakily) W-what are you saying? Is someone else being assigned as my partner? Em, are-are you breaking up with me? Please say you're not, I love you!
Emilie: (SUPER horrified) OHMYGOSH! I didn't mean for it to sound like that! Of course I'm not breaking up with you! I would never want that! You will always be my partner! Last week, I went away on a secret mission to retrieve the Peacock Miraculous! It had been lost in the icy tundra, actually not far from where you found yours!
Narrator1: Ohhhhh, I forgot! I totally forgot! I was supposed to tell you how Gabriel Agrest got his Miraculous!
Narrator2: Yes you were! And you're kida terrible at narrating what they're doing! I've been having to make little captions just to keep the story moving!!
