There are some spoilers for the Special Christmas episode down below, so beware![]
For me, my favorite characeters are:
Adrien/Chat Noir and Plagg - I just love the dynamic between these two, and Chat Noir's puns are so cute and dumb.
Chloe - Her mean girl persona isn't great, but I find her pompose attitude to be so amusing to watch, especially when she gets her just desserts for her actions. Even when she didn't do anything to anyone in the special, Santa still came after her, and it was pretty funny to watch.
I hope that in season two, she can become more nicer as time goes on.
Tikki - I find her motherly attitude and design are just so cute!
My least favorite are:
Marinette - Of course I don't hate her outright, I thought I did like her in the beginning, but I just realized otherwise. I mean, I do like things about her (being a hero, fashion designer, and artsy) but that's about it. People say Chloe is the worst (which is arguably true) because she causes akumatizations, but Marinette's the same too (Adrien did this too, but I think that was only in Copycat). You might say "but she doesn't do it on purpose", but neither does Chloe I mean, why would she? Every villian she causes just goes after her, which she doesn't want. Of course yes, Chloe doesn't think about the consequences after she's been mean to someone, but neither does Marinette whenever it's about Adrien (which I'll get into later). She doesn't think about what would have happened to Lila after embaressing her like she did, all because she was jealous. She did the same to Max, but I don't know if this counts a lot.
What annoys me about these incidents is because it was about Adrien. She abuses her powers multiple times for him, doing it to Lila was the worst case. SPOILERS! She even did the same to Santa in the special, but what really annoyed me about this one was when she said she knew how to identify akumas. What even. Adrien was even trying to tell her otherwise, her crush and the only reason why she thought Santa was an akumatized person was actively denying this, but nope. She impulsively goes after the poor man and even attacks him. Yikes.
Sorry, that turned into a rant session, but that pretty much explains why I just realized that I don't like her very much. Maybe my opinion will change in season 2, who knows. Also yes, I know it's good that she has flaws (it makes a character believable), but I don't see why I'd have to like it.
Lila - Honestly, her first impression on me was that she was a huge liar, a thief (Chloe is one too actually, when she got Sabrina to try and steal Marinette's diary and her hat design), and that her character was revolved around liking Adrien and that's pretty much it. I didn't like her at all. To be fair, it was only one episode though, so we'll find out more things about her later. But she does introduce the idea of a victim becoming akumatized again, which is interesting. I hope to see a confrontation with both Volpinas someday.
