The mage was a man who lived thousands of years ago. He discovered the existence of the kwamis and created the Miraculouses for them to be seen by humans and help them.
Appearance
The mage had gray hair, a gray mustache, and dark gray eyes.
His attire included a type of red garment for the upper body and two brown bracelets on his left wrist.
Abilities
He was a very skilled craftsman, as he was able to create multiple magic jewels that allow divine spirits of great cosmic power to gain physical form and bestow magical powers and special weapons onto their jewel wielders.

Trivia
- Master Fu mentions the mage when he explains the origins of the kwamis and the Miraculouses to Marinette in the second issue of Miraculous Adventures.
- It's unknown if he trained other apprentices in learning how to make the Miraculouses, put the process in code in any spellbooks or had a connection to the Order of the Guardians. In "Re-creation", as Marinette was seen fixing the Miraculouses with help from the spellbook and Su-Han, so it's likely that he or a mutual connection provided the Order of the Guardians with the information he knew about the Miraculouses.
- It's also unknown if he's the same mage who created the Prodigious and the Sacred Cave Key, as the Prodigious was a prototype for the Miraculous, and it was sealed in the Sacred Cave before the Miraculouses were made.
- In "Princess Fragrance", Master Fu refers to the Miraculouses as an "ancient Chinese secret", suggesting that the mage was of Chinese nationality.
