This article is about two-part episodes. You may be looking for other specials. |
Two parters are specials composed of two back-to-back episodes which feature important and impactful story arcs. The episodes within two parters belong to a specific season, and because they are tightly connected, the first part always ends in a cliffhanger. The second part is always a direct continuation of the first one.
The Origins Story[]
Information[]
- Season: 1
- Episodes: 2
- Episode 25, "Ladybug & Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)"
- Episode 26, "Stoneheart (Origins - Part 2)"
- Focus: The first ever introduction of Marinette and Adrien meeting, Master Fu entrusting them both with Miraculouses, and Hawk Moth akumatizing Parisians.
Summarized TFOU Synopsis[]
TBA
Notes[]
- Both episodes were the 22nd and 23rd episodes to be written and produced in season 1.[1]
- However, storyline-wise, they are chronologically the first and second episodes of season 1 and the series, overall. Both episodes introduce the new school year, Marinette and Adrien's first ever time meeting each other and becoming Ladybug and Cat Noir respectfully, as well as Hawk Moth's first time akumatizing Parisians and becoming the heroes' sworn enemy.
- Despite them being the first two episodes chronologically, Thomas Astruc wants them to be watched after the series, as he thinks that it's more interesting that way.[2][3]
- In earlier versions of both episodes, there were many more errors as compared to the final release. These errors include certain objects glowing (the Butterfly Miraculous) or being transparent (Cat Noir's ring). This is due to the show's staff still working on the episodes whilst they were still in production. These errors have since been corrected in subsequent releases of the episodes.
Queen's Battle[]
Information[]
- Season: 2
- Episodes:
- Episode 18, "Style Queen (Queen's Battle - Part 1)"
- Episode 19, "Queen Wasp (Queen's Battle - Part 2)"
- Focus: Both episodes focus on Marinette and her derby hat design being featured in a fashion show and inspected by the fashion icon, Audrey Bourgeois. They also focus on Chloé finding and using the Bee Miraculous to impress and seek validation from her mother, as well as Gabriel becoming desperate over his failed akumatizations.
Summarized TFOU Synopsis[]
It's Fashion Week and all of Paris has a rendezvous at Gabriel Agreste's fashion show, during which Adrien will wear a hat created by Marinette. For the occasion, Audrey Bourgeois, Chloé's mom and the international queen of fashion, is passing through the capital. But, manipulated by Gabriel/Hawk Moth, Audrey gets akumatized and becomes Style Queen, the most chic villain of all!
Armed with her scepter, she transforms people into statues of glitter and plans to do everything in her power to prevent Gabriel's show from taking place, starting by attacking Adrien.
Without the support of Cat Noir, Ladybug is getting ready to call on a new superhero to help her, but she loses the Miraculous she wants to entrust to them...
Will Ladybug manage to stop Style Queen and recover the Miraculous before it falls into the wrong hands?[4]
Notes[]
- The French version of this 2-parter is called "Le Combat des Reines" which means "The Queen's Fight".[5][6]
- According to Feri González, the possible reasons for Malediktator not being part of the 2-parter is that it is slightly self-contained and can be watched "some time" independently after "Style Queen" and "Queen Wasp" whereas the other 2 are back-to-back and must be watched together. However, she still stressed the importance of watching "Malediktator" after "Style Queen" and "Queen Wasp." The reason for this is that this episode continues the Bourgeois family's storyline with Audrey Bourgois now playing an important role in Chloé's life, as well as Ladybug giving Chloé a chance to use the Bee Miraculous responsibly this time.[7]
- Thomas Astruc also advised fans to first watch the 2-parter ("Style Queen" & "Queen Wasp"), and then "Malediktator", otherwise their experience would be ruined.[8]

Gabriel and Nathalie manifest their grand plan of deceiving Paris into thinking that Ladybug has become evil and she has defeated Cat Noir, thus, using their pain to their advantage of akumatizing multiple villains simultaneously. This results in Ladybug recruiting Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee to help them fight Scarlet Moth and his army.
