“ | The real Cat Noir and Ladybug won't be able to make it to tonight's premiere, but I hope that they'll love my movie as much as we love them. | ” |
—Thomas Astruc, "Animaestro" |
Thomas Astruc is a minor character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. He is a director introduced in the third season. In the French version, he is voiced by and based on the real Thomas Astruc, the creator of Miraculous.[3]
In "Animaestro", when Thomas' special day was ruined at his movie premiere and no one cared about him for creating his animated movie about Ladybug and Cat Noir, he was akumatized by Hawk Moth into Animaestro, an animated supervillain.

Personality[]
He is a very nice man and usually upbeat and excited about his movie premieres. He just wants to be recognized and appreciated for his work but has a tendency to be ignored by everyone.

Abilities[]
As a civilian[]
He is the director of an animated film based on Ladybug and Cat Noir.

- A giant robot
- A black and white sheep-dog hyrbid with a high pitched voice, like Mickey Mouse.
- Majestia
- A ninja
- A small yellow bird, a reference to the 1968 French animated series Les Shadoks
- A unicorn
- A karate master, a reference to Ryu from Street Fighter, who can use a power blast like Son Goku's Kamehameha from Dragon Ball Z
- An magical girl, a reference to anime like Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure
