The Resistance was a group formed by the former students of Miss Bustier's class, except Chloé Bourgeois and Lila Rossi (which was under her identity as Cerise Bianca). Unbeknownst to the school, the group are members of the French Miraculous superhero team who were left inactive after Félix stole their Miraculouses to Monarch.
Their mission was to assist Ladybug and Cat Noir in any way they can by trying to find out how Monarch is able to transfer and give the Miraculous superpowers to his akumatized villains without giving them the actual Miraculouses.
In "Illusion", the Resistance is formed with Nino, Adrien, Alya, and Marinette being the founding members. It is then followed by Max, Kim, Rose, Juleka, Ivan, Mylène, and Lila.
In "Deflagration", it is revealed that Nathaniel, Marc and Zoé are part of the Resistance. They managed to fight against Monarch Bug and find out that he reforged the Miraculouses into rings.
In "Confrontation", Lila, along with Chloé, frames Marinette for forging her classmates' study option forms in order to get them to turn against her. Her plan backfires when she falls into a trap set up by Marinette and Sabrina and accidentally exposes her true nature in front of her entire class and the school faculty, leading to her expulsion from the school and the Resistance, Sabrina becomes the member of the group, replacing Lila since she and Chloé were expelled from the school.
In "Action", the Resistance begin a campaign against plastic users, causing the attention of Bertrand King.
In "Revolution", Damoclès joins the resistance during a protest and they began to stop Chloé's reign of terror and Caline Bustier rips her sash, and subsequently being forced to leave Paris for London with her mother.
In "Representation", they noticed Gabriel Agreste is akumatized into Nightormentor, as he was trying to find Marinette after Adrien ran away from him. Following his defeat, he was no longer a member of the Resistance.
In "Conformation", the Resistance was into the Perfect Alliance app due to the nightmares caused by Gabriel Agreste as Nightormentor until the news of Ladybug and Cat Noir being falsely accused of kidnapping Adrien and Kagami. Ivan is the first to transform into a Miraculized, along with many innocent citizens. They are almost tempted to join until Alya urges them to resist since they know the two superheroes would never do that to anyone and to disposed of their rings.
In "Re-creation", they fought against the Miraculized army with the United Heroez, the Order of the Guardians, Ladydragon, and many citizens. The group is officially disbanded as its members receive and keep their Miraculouses from Ladybug permanently, thus becoming full-time superheroes of the French Miraculous superhero team.

- In the European Portuguese dub, Alya's codename is Camarada Béchamel Chefe de Mesa (Béchamel Maître d'Hôtel), while Marinette's is Camarada Hollandaise.
- The only members of the French Miraculous superhero team who aren't in the Resistance are Alix Kubdel, Luka Couffaine, Kagami Tsurugi and Félix Fathom.
- Lila Rossi was the only member of the Resistance who is not a part of French Miraculous superhero team. Unbeknownst to the group, she was a spy working for Monarch.
- Zoé Lee and Marc Anciel are the only members of the Resistance who are not in of Miss Bustier's class.
- The Resistance's name is also named after the team from the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy & Lolirock where the former fights against the First Order, the Sith Eternal and Emperor Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious and the latter alongside Iris, Talia and Auriana fought against Gramorr and Praxina.
