The Crypt was a garden located somewhere beneath the Agreste mansion.
Appearance[]

Émilie Agreste in the cryogenic pod.
It is a large room with an arched ceiling, barely lit by lights along the side walls and what appears to be a beam of sunlight from a skylight. The bottom's fully covered with water. A catwalk extends the length of the room down the middle. The other end starts at the back where the elevator in the glass tube is. The far end of the room appears to have a tree growing from the floor below, and the main wall at that end features a design identical to the "butterfly window" in Gabriel's lair. Like that window, it can also be uncovered to let in light.
At the end of the catwalk is a circular platform covered in greenery; grass covers the floor, bushes and flora decorate the platform, and what appear to be trees snake across as well as underneath the platform. A green glow emanates from underneath the platform where Émilie Agreste was previously held in a glass-covered cryogenic pod, which required an "insane power supply". As seen in "Party Crasher", white butterflies were bred from the tree growing around Émilie's pod.
As revealed in "Queen Wasp", Gabriel previously accessed this room via the same secret passage from his atelier that he uses to get to his lair.

As of "Re-creation", the crypt was destroyed during the final battle of Bug Noire and Monarch.
In "Miraculous London", after Gabriel's wish was made, Bug Noire destroyed it completely with her Cataclysm so Adrien doesn't find out that his father was Monarch.

Trivia[]
- On August 26, 2018, Feri González teased that the location would make another appearance "very soon" after "Gorizilla".[1] This turned out to occur in "Style Queen" and "Queen Wasp".
- In "Party Crasher", it was revealed that the Agreste mansion has the energy equivalent of a nuclear power plant, so it can be assumed that Émilie's coffin used a lot of energy to keep her body in good condition.
- It could also be assumed that the pipes visible under the hanging garden were power outlets.
- Also in "Party Crasher", it was revealed that in the basement Gabriel and Nathalie grew butterflies that were then used for future akumatizations.
- In "Cat Blanc", Ladybug and Chat Noir fought a decisive battle in this place, and Hawk Moth showed Émilie's coffin to his son. This shocked him deeply, which resulted in the defeat of the two superheroes. But these events were erased thanks to Ladybug, with the help of the Bunnyx from the future.
- A similar situation also happened in "Ephemeral": Adrien, discovering his father's secret, was akumatized, which would have led to the victory of Shadow Moth who became Shadow Noir with her son's Miraculous. However, these events were erased thanks to Sass' Second Chance.
- However, these two similar scenes were set in a hypothetical future.
