—Strikeback, "Strikeback (Shadow Moth's Final Attack - Part 2)" |
Strikeback (Réplique in the French version) was the final antagonist of Season 4 of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, serving as the final antagonist of the episode "Risk", and the titular central antagonist of the episode "Strikeback". It was a knight/golem-themed Sentimonster manifested by Shadow Moth from his emotions of determination/ambition in order to wreak havoc on Paris.
Appearance
Physical appearance
Strikeback had a black-armored body with spikes on its torso, arms, and angles. It had a blank chrome-like face. It was incredibly tall, almost taller than the Eiffel Tower.
Personality
Strikeback is considered to be an emotionless being who sought out destruction and chaos among Paris. Its main duty, like most villains, was to get the Miraculouses of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Abilities
Strikeback was immune to any superpower used against it directly. Once a superpower was used against it, Strikeback could copy and summon the power as many times as it wanted. To do so, all it needed was to say its name "Strikeback".
Powers that it copied:
- Venom: Strikeback could turn its hand into a bee stinger and immobilize its opponents by stinging them.
- Clout: Strikeback could charge up its fist with energy and unleash a very powerful punch.
- Multitude: Strikeback could shrink and duplicate into smaller copies of itself.
- Cataclysm: Strikeback could fuse its hands with dark destructive energy and could destroy anything or anyone with one touch.
It also bore the power of super strength, easily being able to crush things with its body and lift heavy things, such as the Roue de Paris.

Trivia
- Strikeback bore a strong resemblance to the Destroyer from the Marvel franchise. Its body shape was also reminiscent of the Laputa Robots from the 1986 anime film Castle in the Sky.
- It's also possible it was based on Sachiel from anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.
- This was the fourth Sentimonster to have its Amok within Shadow Moth's cane, following Sentinino and Sentialec in "Optigami" and Hack-San in the episode with the same name.
- It was the first Sentimonster that didn't go berserk when touching Cataclysm, given its ability to copy any power it was used on it directly or touching any superpower.
- This could have been one of the most powerful Sentimonsters, the second being the Ladybug Sentimonster.
- Its ability to copy powers was similar to Miraculer. However, her ability allowed her to steal Miraculous' powers and use them while Strikeback could copy powers after they were used on it directly or touching it.
- After copying someone's power, it spoke "Strikeback" to use them, much like how a Miraculous wearer says a phrase to use their superpower.
- It was also one of the known Sentimonsters to say its own name on its own, similar to a Pokémon saying their name.
- Due to the circumstances, Strikeback was the only sentimonster to be defeated without its amok ever being released, as the Miraculous team didn't know where the amok was hidden, nor where Shadow Moth was.
- Given that the Dormant Sentimonster, was in suspended animation after falling into lava, it is likely Strikeback and its clones experienced a similar fate after being teleported to the sun.
- Although, it is possible that Strikeback's amok was revoked off screen, as Shadow Moth would first have to release it from existence before he could make a new sentimonster.
- Strikeback and its clones' fate mirrors the demise of Jubileus the Creator in Bayonetta, as both monstrosities were sent to the sun.
- However, unlike Strikeback and its clones, who were sent to the sun by Pennybug with their fates left unknown, Jubileus' soul was burned to nothingness after being punched by Queen Sheba.
