The Snake Miraculous is an Ouroboros Bracelet[1] that, whenever Sass inhabits it, transforms the wearer into a snake-themed superhero with the power of Intuition.
To activate the Ouroboros bracelet, the user must speak the transformation phrase: "Scales Slither". To deactivate the Ouroboros bracelet, the user must speak the detransformation phrase: "Scales Rest".
The bracelet is currently owned by Luka Couffaine, who uses it to transform into Viperion. It was previously stored in the Chinese Miracle Box and only lent out to him when the situation required it. In "Strikeback", it was stolen by Félix Fathom, who traded it to Gabriel Agreste in exchange for the Peacock Miraculous.
In "Destruction", Gabriel used a laser machine to melt down the Miraculous into a pile of dust, and then reforged it into a special Alliance ring for transferring Sass's power of Intuition to any Akumatized villain who wore a regular Alliance ring. However, he chose not lend out its power, as giving the power of Second Chance to someone else could prove disastrous, and as of "Intuition" he could not use the power himself anymore because it was expediting the spread of his Cataclysm injury.
In "Re-creation", after Marinette Dupain-Cheng manages to recover all of the Miraculous that were previously stolen, she restores the Snake Miraculous back to its original form and she gives it back to Luka permanently.
Appearance
In general, the Snake Miraculous is an Ouroboros bracelet. In charged mode, when Sass inhabits it, it is sea green and features a snake that can be slid back to reveal a yellow forked tongue, divided into five parts. If a minor is using the miraculous, the bracelet starts running out of power, it makes a ticking sound, then the snake figurehead starts to slide in place, when the 5 parts of the snake tongue start to turn grey, (one part is equivalent to one minute) Luka (or another Snake Miraculous holder) has left.
In its activated mode, the tongue turns grey.
In its camouflage mode, the bracelet changes color and form depending on whose possession it's in:
- When it was worn by Gabriel Agreste, it appeared as a silver band with an indent in the front.[2]
- In the possession of Luka Couffaine, it is silver, with ridges.[3]
- When it was worn by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, it became a little thinner than Luka's and was rose gold with an open end.[4]
- When it was worn by Adrien Agreste, it was similarly silver to the Luka's camouflage mode, but it was completely smooth.[3]
- In it's reforged ring form, it was a thick band with a circular surface, similar to the Cat Miraculous, inside of it was the symbol of the Snake Miraculous which glowed turquoise. It used to sit on the intermediate phalange of Gabriel's right middle finger.
Abilities
The Snake Miraculous has the ability to transform its wielder into a snake-themed superhero, granting its wielder incredible superhuman powers of speed, endurance, agility, stamina and strength. It also makes the user nearly invulnerable.
Its special weapon is an unbreakable Lyre which can be also be utilized as both a weapon, a communicator, and an object that can be used to breathe underwater. Its special superpower, is named Second Chance, which gives the user the ability to allows the user to mark a point in time by sliding the snake on the Miraculous and return to it in order to obtain their goal, like defeating a villain. The user's memory remains untouched, allowing them to correct anything that may have happened before going back in time. However, those around a Snake Miraculous holder can only see the final reality that is created with Second Chance which is understandable due to the effects of the temporal loop, because time is constantly being rewritten. The user can use this power for how much times they want as long they do it within the five minutes limit once the power is activated. As long as the superpower isn't used by a minor, the wielder can remain transformed indefinitely. However, as soon as the time limit is up, the wielder loses power and the transformation wears off in about approximately five minutes. If the superpower is used by an adult, the wielder can use the superpower indefinitely. The Ouroboros bracelet also has the ability to give the wielder the costume they truly desire.

- Snakes symbolize rebirth, patience, intuition, healing, and being of a sinister nature.
- The snake is modeled after an Ouroboros, a symbol of a snake biting or eating its own tail. It is a symbol of self-reflexivity, cyclical, and eternal return.
- It is the second Miraculous shown to be able to manipulate time, following the Rabbit Miraculous.
- Both can be used as many times as the user wants or needs however there is no time limit on the Rabbit as there is the Snake.
- Unlike the Rabbit Miraculous, the Snake Miraculous is only capable of going backwards in time for a few seconds or minutes. The Rabbit Miraculous is capable of manipulating time both backwards or forward.
- While the Snake Miraculous allows to go back to change events, the Rabbit allows to go back to participate in them, while not necessarily changing the future the user came from.
- While the Snake Miraculous user is not affected by the time changes, the Rabbit Miraculous user may suffer from them, as shown in "Cat Blanc".
- While Snake Miraculous user can tell their allies what's going to happen in the immediate future, the Rabbit Miraculous user can't or needs to do or say as very little as possible so the future doesn't get altered.
- According to Dragon Bug, the Snake Miraculous is one of the most dangerous Miraculouses if used for evil, only second to the Rabbit Miraculous.
- This is the second Miraculous based off a bracelet following the Turtle and Tiger Miraculouses.
- The Snake Miraculous also shares similarities with the Tiger and Cat Miraculous.
- All don't use their tools to activate their powers, instead the miraculous is used.
