2020[]

On October 9, 2020, series creator Thomas Astruc hinted at the possibility of seasons beyond Season 5.^[1]

2021[]

In April 2021, Thomas Astruc officially announced that Season 6 had been greenlit.^[2]

2022[]

On June 20, 2022, Wilfried Pain announced that writing for seasons 6 and 7 had begun.^[3]
- The following day, Thomas Astruc began working on the scripts along with Mélanie Duval, Fred Lenoir^[4], Sébastien Thibaudeau, and another (at the moment unknown) writer, later revealed to be Chloé Paye.^[5] Later that day he revealed that his new role will be an "artistic supervisor" starting this season.^[6]
As revealed on Cécile de Gantès' LinkedIn profile, Season 6 had entered main production by August.^[7]

2023[]

On January 23, Jeremy Zag shared a video in his Instagram story of the season's production.^[8]
On February 8, it was revealed during the Masterclass 808 conference that Chloé Paye joined the production crew as a screenwriter for the series.^[9]
On May 20, Wilfried Pain announced at the Annecy festival that Season 6 will be a screenplay and visual revival. The 3D models of the characters and backgrounds will evolve (hair and clothes will be changed). Additionally, certain animation studios will no longer work on the show, so that production will be less complicated.^[10]
On August 23 at the Licensing Expo in Brazil, it was revealed that Season 6 will begin releasing in Q4 2024.^[11]
In September, the storyboards started being done, as mentioned on Sylvie Tang's, Céline Foriscetti's, Lucie Gardes' and Louise Reynaud's LinkedIn profiles.^[12]^[13]^[14]^[15]
On September 21, Jeremy Zag shared a video on Instagram of the new assets for future seasons, and that Season 6 will be animated via Unreal Engine V instead of the Maya engine that had been used for previous seasons.^[16]
On October 15, at the Miraculous Paris special premiere, Thomas Astruc and Sébastien Thibaudeau stated that Season 6 was still being written but there was no bible yet.^[17]^[18]
At MIPCOM 2023, which was held on October 16-19, Mediawan Kids & Family revealed the Season 6 synopsis.^[19] A new poster of Ladybug showing her new design was also displayed on its website.^[20]^[21]
- On October 20, Miraculous Mexico confirmed that Cat Noir will get a new design as well.^[22]

2024[]

January-April[]

On January 11, Disney Branded Television announced that they acquired two more seasons of Miraculous: Tales Of Ladybug & Cat Noir, as well as three of its upcoming specials. The Variety website article confirmed that ZAG will animate other series with Epic's Unreal Engine 5.^[23]
On February 9, Thomas Astruc mentioned in a reply on Twitter that after Tomoe Tsurugi and Cerise's third mother, two more disabled characters will debut in Season 6, and that they will be designed in cooperation with relevant people.^[24]
On March 29, Sébastien Thibaudeau announced that the writing for Season 6 had wrapped up the day before.^[25]^[26]
- He also revealed that Caroline Torelli, Pierre Doublier, Manuel Meyre, Chloé Paye and Camélia Acef, as well as Wilfried Pain and Jean-Rémi Perrin (who had written an episode each in both seasons 2 and 3), wrote episodes alongside the previous writing team (Thomas Astruc, Mélanie Duval, Frédéric/que Engel Lenoir, and Sébastien Thibaudeau).
On April 19, Dwarf Animation Studios, which had worked on Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie, revealed that they're working on Season 6. ^[27]
- On the same day, Thomas Astruc shared that he was working on the storyboard for episode 605.^[28]

May-August[]

On May 13, ZAG and Mediawan launched the new label Miraculous Corp, which will be in charge of all future Miraculous productions, including season 6.^[29]
On May 21, the trailer for season 6 was shown during a special closed event organized by ZAG at Licensing Expo.^[30]
On May 28, Jeremy Zag posted a new image of Ladybug in the series' new artstyle on Instagram.^[31]
- The following day, he posted a story featuring Paris and Marinette in the new artstyle.^[32]
On June 4, Ezra Weisz teased that Season 6 will begin recording soon, but can't say anything beyond that.^[33]
Starting with June 11, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Miraculous Corp. revealed posters for Season 6, showing Marinette's, Ladybug's, Cat Noir's, Rena Rouge's, and Carapace's new designs, as well as a trailer and an updated release date of Winter 2024.^[34]^[35]^[36]
- On the same day, the season was added to the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR) with an expected release of either March 12 or December 3.^[37]
- On July 3, Thomas Astruc revealed that some characters' new designs (such as Vesperia's) weren't shown because their 3D models weren't finished at that time.^[38]
- On August 28-29, the same information and trailer would be shown at Licensing Con.^[39]
On July 4, Thomas Astruc stated that he considers Season 6 to be the best season by far.^[40]
On July 6, an interview with Ezra Weisz was released as part of "Miraculous Club", where he revealed that he still hasn't started the English dubbing of Season 6 and doesn't know anything about it.^[41]
On July 6, in an interview with Catboat on Twitch, Thomas Astruc and Sébastien Thibaudeau shared new information:^[42]
- All the outsourced animation studios that participated in the first five seasons (namely SAMG, DQ, Symbiosys, Assemblage, Artage, and Atlantis) will no longer work on the show due to their incompatibility with Unreal Engine 5. The animation will instead be done in France in collaboration with Dwarf Animation.
  - On July 28, Astruc clarified that the animation software switch from Maya to Unreal Engine 5.4 was due to all the original CG assets being outdated and not functioning with Maya's latest updates. The switch to Unreal will allow the new assets to be used for up to 10 years.^[43]
- Since Season 6 is the start of a new story arc, they consider it to be Season 1 2.0, and they have even been confused internally.
- The opening for Season 6 has not yet been decided, and they're still in talks about changing it or not.
- There will be at least one new song during the season. The music and arrangement have been done, and it'll be performed by a female singer.
- Despite leaving Paris at the end of "Revolution", Chloé will return in Season 6.
On August 9, Mundo Gloob had its annual Miraculous Day celebration, revealing new information and reading excerpts from scripts:
- There will be new students at Collège Françoise Dupont.^[44]
- Adrien will be interested in running.^[45]
- A scene where Marinette and Alya discuss how little they know about the new Butterfly Miraculous holder.^[46]
- A scene where Marinette and Adrien talk with Luka, but she is uncomfortable for some reason.^[47]
- Adrien's grandparents will appear.^[48]
On August 12, Cristina Vee posted an Instagram story at Dubbing Brothers in which an unfinished shot from an unknown episode can be seen in a window's reflection.^[49]
On August 13, Ezra Weisz posted an Instagram reel of Lisa Kay Jennings at Dubbing Brothers.^[50]
On August 16, in an interview with Licensing International, Julian Jacob Zag reaffirmed that Season 6 would be coming later in the year.^[51]
On August 25, Thomas Astruc responded that the season would blow people's minds and that the animation will be amazing.^[52]^[53]

September-October[]

On September 4, TF1 revealed a poster showing Ladybug's and Cat Noir's designs, and the synopsis released at MIPCOM 2023.^[54]
- On the same day, Miraculous Corp. held an event in Lima, Peru, where it was stated that the season's expected to release in the first quarter of 2025, but it's likely that information only refers to the Peruvian/Latin American market.^[55]
On September 5, Cristina Vee posted a behind-the-scenes video of an interview with South Florida Live in which she talks about how the season is a fresh start, with the characters being slightly older, and there being new animation, costumes, outfits, villains and a lot of drama and high stakes.^[56]
On September 10, in a news segment about counterfeit goods on TF1, behind-the-scenes footage of Marinette's and her home's new models were shown.^[57]
On September 17, TF1 released a recording of its Back-to-school conference to the internet, revealing an extended version of the trailer initially shown at the Annecy festival.^[58]
On September 18, Thomas Astruc stated that there's a reason why Adrien's design wasn't changed and that fans will understand why.^[59]
On October 1, Cristina Vee and Mela Lee once again returned to Dubbing Brothers to record for Season 6.^[60]^[61]
