—Roaar, "Crocoduel" |
Roaar[7] is a supporting character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is the kwami of Elation[8] who is connected to the Tiger Miraculous.[9] With her power, Roaar's wearer can use the panjas bracelet to transform into a tiger-themed superhero.
Roaar and her Miraculous are currently owned by Juleka Couffaine, who uses it to transform into the superheroine Purple Tigress.
Appearance[]
Roaar is 10 centimeters (or 4 inches) tall[4] and dark magenta, the bottom of her face and her belly being a lighter shade, with light orange eyes and two pointed white teeth. She also has round black tiger-like ears, three vertical black stripes on the top of her head, and a whisker on each cheek. Lastly, she has a long tail with a round black tip and two black stripes below the tip.
Personality[]
True to her concept, Roaar possesses a very intense personality, being fierce and confident, but also loud and expressive. She prefers her Miraculous to be wielded by a holder who is not afraid to raise their voice. If she encounters a holder that can't speak up properly, then she pushes them to do it, sometimes being a little pushy.
Still, she doesn't like for her holder to be rude, when being commanded by those who are demanding or impolite, Roaar will refuse help and criticize them on their recklessness, such as she did with Chloé.
Like all the other kwamis, she too has a deep sense of responsibility on how her powers should be used.
Roaar is also notably curious about human items, such as art supplies and technology.
Abilities[]
Roaar can fly, levitate, and phase through solid objects. She can also carry objects that are larger and/or heavier than herself.
As a kwami, Roaar is able to transform the holder of the Tiger Miraculous into a tiger-themed superhero. The wearer of the Tiger Miraculous gains the power to use Clout, a superpower that allows the user to gather a tremendous amount of energy into their fist and unleash a very powerful punch.
However, Roaar's version of the power is unknown but stronger and will cause a catastrophe if used. It is certain the effects will be just like Plagg's cataclysm, creating a huge wave of destruction and destroying everything in its radius.
Relationships[]
Juleka Couffaine[]
Roaar helped Juleka become more confident and vocal when they were paired together. Although seeing Juleka was incredibly shy, Roaar knew she had the potential to become more assertive and helped her do so which led to Juleka loudly scolding her parents for always fighting. When they were reunited after Marinette restored the jewels, Roaar is seen joyfully reuniting with Juleka.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug[]
Roaar greatly enjoyed the new sense of freedom Marinette allowed the kwamis to have when she became the new guardian. She was also helpful when Marinette was working on projects and showed concern when Marinette was going through emotional stress.
Tikki[]
The two kwamis are seen to get along well.
Sass[]
Like many of the other kwamis, Roaar sees Sass as a leader and often looks to him for guidance during moments of uncertainty.
Since Roaar and Sass' holders, Juleka and Luka are siblings, the two kwamis now live together on the Liberty when Luka isn't in Brazil.
Wang Fu[]
TBA
Su-Han[]
As the celestial guardian, Roaar shows him great respect and obedience to his orders even if they are ones she does not like or agree with.
Gabriel Agreste/Monarch[]
Like her fellow kwamis, Roaar did not enjoy her powers being used for evil means but was often prevented from standing up to Gabriel.
Chloé Bourgeois/Queen Bee[]
When Chloe had tried to force the kwamis to give her their powers, Roaar was one of those who vocally denied her demand because of Chloe's rude behavior and not knowing their names or commands.
