An influencer turns his attention to Marinette and Adrien since they're the most famous couple in Paris, and when Marinette tries to teach the influencer a lesson about his smear campaign, he winds up akumatized into an upgraded villain of Pixelator.[5]
Plot
The prologue is a flashback that takes place in the underground subway, where Ladybug and Cat Noir train their allies into gaining their adult powers, such as never transforming back after using their special powers once, with the exception of Bunnyx and Argos. Once they all finally succeed, they do a group "pound it". Cat Noir suggests that it would be cool if they had a group name. While many of the heroes suggest many different names, Ladybug comes up with "The Miraculers". Everyone agrees with the name and cheers.
In the present, Marinette and Alya are at the beach, joined by Nino and Adrien as they get ice cream from their favorite ice cream vendor in Andre. However, some other beachgoers offer their sympathies and condolences to Adrien over the death of his father, making it clear they still respect and honor his sacrifice. While Alya, Marinette, Nino, and Adrien enjoy themselves, Alya shows Marinette videos on the Ladyblog of the Miraculers helping out around Paris as part of their new duties when not fighting victims of the Butterfly Miraculous' new holder.
However, later, the Dupain-Cheng Bakery is shown to have been vandalized with graffiti depicting Marinette in a negative light, and people are calling Tom and Sabine to diss Marinette, much to both parents' ire. When Marinette returns home, they close up the bakery and show her the propaganda about her being spewed by Vincent Aza as Vincent Secret on his blog, putting down Marinette, as well as Ladybug, and praising Gabriel for his heroism in sacrificing himself to end Monarch's threat for good. Watching the videos, Marinette admits to Tikki that this only makes her feel worse because of the lie she had to spread about Gabriel so that Adrien wouldn't know he was Monarch. This leads to where later, Marinette wants to speak to Vincent about his false info after discussing it with Adrien and Alya after Adrien saw the footage himself. Tom offers to come with her, and when they meet up with Vincent, Adrien had a similar idea as he brought Placide with him. Vincent offers to clear up the misunderstanding by having Marinette and Adrien be on his podcast, but while he is interviewing them while Placide and Tom stew nearby, ready for trouble, later that night, Vincent begins editing the footage with malicious intent in mind.
The next day, when Adrien and Marinette go to the movies, other guests show Vincent's latest blog video regarding his edited footage from the podcast to Adrien and Marinette, forcing them to leave to escape the scorn. When Marinette shows it to Alya, she decides to expose the truth of Vincent deceiving everyone. Transforming into Rena Rouge and using her Mirage to disguise herself as an avid fan of Vincent, Alya/Rena goes to speak to Vincent and ask him about his videos and how he does it. While he is explaining everything, a hidden Lucky Charm camera is recording everything as Ladybug watches through her yo-yo in secret. Back at Marinette's room, with their evidence proving Vincent was fooling everyone secure, Alya uploads it to the Ladyblog.
As a result, as Vincent is at the café run by Maya's father later, Nadja comes on and shows Alya's Ladyblog footage that exposes Vincent for the liar he is. Vincent watches horrified as his subscribers plummet, and Maya's father and everyone at the café glare at him in fury for his deceit against Marinette and Adrien. As he panics over his reputation being in ruins, one of Chrysalis' Ultrakumas infects his cellphone, and Chrysalis contacts him, offering him power to get back at having his reputation ruined. Realizing he'd be a fool for refusing, Vincent accepts the power and asks to be transformed into "Revelator". As soon as he's Akumatized, the customers at the café flee in fear and panic upon witnessing it, and Revelator targets Maya's father as his first victim, revealing his deepest secret to be picking his nose, disgusting Maya, before taking the crystal containing the secret, uploading it into his camera eye, and broadcasting it all over Paris.
When Alya and Marinette discover this themselves, realizing they've got to stop him, they transform into Rena Rouge and Ladybug to go confront him. During the fight, Revelator manages to hit Ladybug with his laser, causing her to cough up a crystal containing her deepest secret. Before Revelator can get it, Cat Noir arrives to help, but he too is zapped and coughs up a crystal containing his deepest secret, but destroys it with Cataclysm, after witnessing it being him reverting back to Adrien, causing him to realize he would still see the secret before destroying it, so he can't risk using his Cataclysm. Ladybug uses her Lucky Charm and gets an eraser. Nevertheless, before Revelator can grab Ladybug's crystal, Rena uses her Mirage to conceal it by summoning illusionary replicas to confuse Revelator. As he tries to find the authentic one in growing frustration, Rena recovers it first, and despite Ladybug's cries not to look into it, Rena does, convinced she'll only find that it reveals Marinette is Ladybug, which she already knows.
Instead, she sees the earlier conversation between Marinette and Tikki regarding Marinette admitting that Gabriel was Monarch. Hearing and seeing the truth, Rena is left is utter shock and disbelief. Cat Noir fears she knows Ladybug's secret identity, but is under the belief that Ladybug can fix it with her Miraculous Ladybug. Ladybug hopes so as Rena turns to glare at her with an expression of absolute anger, causing Ladybug to recoil anxiously. However, when Revelator attacks again, Ladybug has Cat Noir distract him while she speaks to Rena. Before she can take back her crystal, Rena holds it away from her, disappointed that Ladybug broke her trust after they agreed not to keep anymore secrets from each other. Using her Mirage to create illusionary copies of herself and Ladybug to help Cat Noir and distract Revelator, Rena takes Ladybug to a rooftop to speak to her in private, asking if Cat Noir knows about Gabriel being Monarch. Ladybug says no as she doesn't know who Cat Noir is under the mask, and is worried he'll tell Adrien. When Rena pushes the issue asking why Ladybug lied to Adrien, Ladybug admits the truth is too harsh to tell him. This sets off Rena as she tells Ladybug that neither Ladybug or Rena have the decision to tell Adrien what he should or shouldn't know. Truth is vital to one's personal growth, but now that Rena knows of Monarch's true identity, she has to do the worst thing she can do as a journalist: Lie, and that's something she hates with a passion. Ladybug feels extremely remorseful, as this is why she didn't want to tell Rena, knowing she would be furious with her.
Back with Revelator, he manages to overpower Cat Noir, before dispersing the illusionary Ladybug and Rena. As he advances on Cat Noir, furious at being tricked, Ladybug ties him up with her yo-yo before Rena tackles and pins him to the ground, disarming him of his Akumatized object before tossing it to Ladybug to destroy, freeing the Ultrakuma for her to purify. After Vincent returns to normal, Ladybug looks at her Lucky Charm object as Cat Noir thinks using her Miraculous Ladybug would undo Rena learning Ladybug's secret. A scornful Rena agrees, mentioning to Ladybug something she said to her before about secrets. Thus, Ladybug uses her Miraculous Ladybug to repair all the damage, but when she looks at Rena, Rena is still scowling as she admits the Miraculous Ladybug didn't work. She also admits that the secret she knows is one she can't keep hidden, even if she wanted to. When Cat Noir asks Ladybug why the Miraculous Ladybug didn't work, she explains that nothing is broken. The Miraculous Ladybug only repairs what has been broken, but with the secret Rena knows, they have to destroy it to restore the status quo. When Cat Noir feels uneasy about that, Rena assures him that it is one's personal decision that decides which secrets can and can't be known, and that is repairing things in this scenario. Thus, Ladybug encourages Cat Noir to use his powers to erase the secret from Rena's mind. When he doubts himself, she reminds him of how there is always room to evolve your Miraculous powers and grow stronger. Trusting Ladybug, Cat Noir summons his Cataclysm, and is able to unlock his Miraculous Cat Noir, which works like Miraculous Ladybug, but instead swirls around Rena, who closes her eyes and accepts what is about to happen, and erases what she learned from Ladybug's crystal from her memories. When it is all over, as Cat Noir and Ladybug wonder if it worked or not, when Rena turns around and asks them in puzzlement, "Did what work?", they realize the Miraculous Cat Noir worked and Ladybug's secret that Rena learned has been erased from her memories and remains solely with Ladybug. Although Rena is still confused afterwards, Ladybug grants Vincent a Lucky Charm and is encouraged by the three Miraculers to only reveal secrets if the person's life is in danger.
Back at the beach, Alya notices that Marinette feels down in the dumps, but after a pep talk, Marinette cheers up, before Adrien and Nino call them out to join them in the water, and the two Best Friends Forever do just that.
Later, back home, Alya looks at a photo of herself and Marinette, wondering why Marinette would ever think she would be angry with her. When Trixx inquires further, Alya admits that Marinette must be bearing a secret that burdens her so much, she can't tell anyone about it, and promises to help her deal with it in any way she can.

Trivia
- The French Miraculous superhero team officially adopted the name "Miraculers" for their team.
- Ladybug and Cat Noir are revealed to have taught their allies how to unlock their adult powers in order to use their powers as much as they want and remain transformed.
- The reason for Alix Kubdel's absence from the episode's training is not only because she was protecting the timeline with the Rabbit Miraculous, but also because it was not necessary for her to unlock her adult powers when her own Miraculous had already been revealed in "Evolution" to have had adult powers from the beginning.
- Argos is not seen during training at any point, but is later seen with the other heroes during the creation of the team name. This may mean that Félix had already unlocked his adult powers long before the other heroes.
- However, there is a box in the second row, next to Viperion's, whose user isn't visible, which could belong to Argos.
- In the case that he did train to unlock his adult powers, it's possible he simply used his powers to transform a feather into an amok without putting it into an object, due to his indisposition to use his power to create Sentimonsters unless necessary.
- However, there is a box in the second row, next to Viperion's, whose user isn't visible, which could belong to Argos.
- It is clear that the superheroes of Ladybug's team managed to upgrade their superhero costumes sometime after they regained their Miraculous in "Re-creation", with the exception of Miss Hound, as she is seen with her previous costume.
- The upgrade of her costume happened in "Daddycop".
- Despite the opening scene happening before "The Illustrhater" (due to the heroes unlocking their adult powers) and "Daddycop" (as Sabrina used the group's new name), the episode itself happens after them (or at least after the latter), as Miss Hound is shown in her upgraded costume in one of the photos on Alya's video about the Miraculers on the Ladyblog.
- Ladybug and Cat Noir are revealed to have taught their allies how to unlock their adult powers in order to use their powers as much as they want and remain transformed.
- It is possible, but not yet confirmed, that Adrien/Cat Noir now knows the secret identities of all the team members, as he was in front of them when they tried to slow down their de-transformation.
- However, considering that some like Kim and Zoé went quickly into hiding when they couldn't hold on the detransformation (despite the fact they had dividers to prevent the others from knowing their identities), it's possible that Cat Noir still only knows the identities of some of them.
- This is the second time Vincent has been akumatized, following "Pixelator". However, unlike his previous akumatization, Vincent is not akumatized into Pixelator, but rather into a new villain, Revelator.
- He now holds the record for the longest time between two akumatizations, not counting his transformation into Pixelator as result of the titular villain's powers in "Gamer 2.0".
- Vincent is revealed to have become an influencer under the name "Vincent Secret" after the fall of Monarch, dedicating to twist the truth by using rhetorical questions, half-truths and putting answers out of context.
- He is revealed to be part of the Bee Community on the Zoo.
- In addition, while watching one of his videos at the beginning of the episode. it is revealed that Sabine Cheng is part of the Ladybug Community.
- He is revealed to be part of the Bee Community on the Zoo.
- According to Vincent, Chloé has replaced Adrien as a new fashion icon after Gabriel's death and the boy's retirement as a new model while she is in London.
- Given this reveal, her Season 6 outfit may be part of a fashion line inspired by her time as Queen Bee.
- Her new status as fashion icon may be due to her mother, who is a fashion critic and had decided to take full control over her life after the events in "Revolution".
- The episode reveals some of the characters' secrets:
- Maya's father eats boogers after picking his nose.
- A worker's baldness with his toupe being blown off.
- Cat Noir's secret identity as Adrien.
- Marinette telling Tikki that she can't tell Adrien the truth about Gabriel's secret identity as Monarch.
- Furthermore, since Tikki was by Marinette's side in her secret, Marinette's secret identity as Ladybug would also be revealed.
- This could mean that, in the case of people with multiple secrets, Revelator's powers show a moment in time that reveals all of them at once.
- Furthermore, since Tikki was by Marinette's side in her secret, Marinette's secret identity as Ladybug would also be revealed.
- Alya learns the truth about Marinette lying about Monarch's identity being Gabriel Agreste in order to protect Adrien. This angered Alya, not only because Marinette lied to her, but also because she is keeping that secret from Adrien and preventing him from growing as a person, while also forcing her to lie about it as well, something that she hates.
- However, Cat Noir's Miraculous Cat Noir erased Alya's memory of the truth about Gabriel after she comes to the conclusion that not all secrets are meant to be shared.
- This episode also gives insight if anyone (especially one of the Miraculers) finds out about Gabriel's identity as Monarch.
- Both girls had valid points in their arguments;
- Marinette was wise in some way to wait to tell Adrien the truth. If Adrien gets told the truth about Gabriel at the worst time, then it could push him to an akumatization, under the effects of which he might let out the secret, which would definitely cause people to turn on not only Adrien, but also the Miraculers as a whole (since Ladybug lied), which in turn might hinder their mission to stop Chrysalis by losing the support of Paris.
- Alya also had forgotten how brutal the news media can be, especially when it comes to those of high society doing something bad.
- Furthermore, because Adrien is actually Cat Noir, Marinette, without knowing it, actually prevented a disaster leading to the repeat of "Cat Blanc" and "Ephemeral", much like Adrien did in "Conformation".
- While memories can be erased by Miraculous Cat Noir, this power cannot be used if Adrien is akumatized.
- The people turning against Adrien would mostly be out of fear, anger and hurt in other words if the truth got out the people may believe/suspect that Adrien knew who his father was and didn't do anything about it he just let everything happen. Or the people may think he will be the "next Hawk Moth" and may see him as a danger to Paris likely wanted to imprison or banish him if it goes that far.
- In the long run, Alya was right in that Marinette stunted Adrien's growth by not telling him the truth. While there is no good way to reveal this harsh truth, further hiding and lying about it would cause the emotional and mental blow to be more severe and most likely would cause Adrien to lose trust in the people around him if/when he learns said people he was close with/related to knew of this but decided to keep it from him. Marinette also seemingly forgot that Chrysalis already knows the truth from the events in "Miraculous London".
- Marinette was also aware that the Butterfly Miraculous would be used for evil years into the future, which she knew from the events in "Timetagger".
- Also, because Adrien is Cat Noir, if/when he finds out the truth, the emotional breakdown caused might cause him to get akumatized, thus Marinette both prevented but also might have caused a turn of events that lead to a "Cat Blanc scenario".
- This time, if/when Adrien learns everything his akumatization could also be out of guilt for what happened to those close to him or for what they did: his mother's demise, his dad going obsessively crazy to fix everything while using him and his mother as his motivation, Nathalie and Felix for helping him making the problems worse; and for all the danger and damage his friends, the kwamis, his girlfriend/partner were put through because of him.
- This also applies to hiding Adrien's own nature as a Sentibeing, in addition to him risking his own existence and autonomy if he loses the rings or they get into the possession of Chrysalis or other ill-intentioned individuals.
- Before forgetting about the secret, Alya, despite being angry, still encouraged Marinette to tell Adrien the truth, showing that she has hope her best friend will find the best way to reveal it.
- Despite forgetting Marinette's secret, Alya notices that her best friend is still burdened and is determined to help her.
- Cat Noir unlocks a new function of his Cataclysm, allowing him to turn it into Miraculous Cat Noir, a destructive version of Miraculous Ladybug, allowing him to destroy anything "created" by supervillains (that is any causal effect originated from their actions), like memories of secrets revealed by their powers.
- This is the fourth known upgrade to a Miraculous superpower, following Ladybug's Magical Charms, Shadow Moth/Monarch's megakumas and Chrysalis' ultrakumas and antikumas (considered as one single upgrade due to being connected).
- This is the third upgrade that allows the user to tap into a new power rather than strengthening the old one, after the Magical Charms and the Antikumas.
- This is the fourth known upgrade to a Miraculous superpower, following Ladybug's Magical Charms, Shadow Moth/Monarch's megakumas and Chrysalis' ultrakumas and antikumas (considered as one single upgrade due to being connected).
- This episode also shares some correlations with "Cat Blanc":
- Both episodes, the topic of Marinette and Adrien now being a couple is brought up in the episode and acknowledged by famous Paris media.
- Both involve the same Lucky Charm object: an eraser.
- Both episodes, have one or more heroes learn Hawk Moth's/Monarch's identity, only for the knowledge to be erased from their minds.
- Cat Noir's new ability parallels Cat Blanc's Mega Cataclysm ability, with a similar appearance when activated and the ability to cause mass destruction (with more control in Cat Noir's case).
- Marinette becomes haunted by the outcome of both episodes, even if they ended up being erased, with her becoming traumatized by Cat Blanc in a way that caused her to start to exclude Cat Noir from missions in fear of him being akumatized and with her becoming afraid of losing Alya's friendship because of her secret about Monarch's real identity.
- A new audio effect and multiple visual effects have been added for when Ladybug opens her yo-yo.
- Revelator's power is activated by saying "Revelation", similar to Hoaxer in the episode of same name.
- Coincidentally, Revelator was akumatized by the person who was Hoaxer.
- While Hoaxer's "revelations" were no more than lies and illusions created with the power of the Fox Miraculous, Revelator's powers truly reveal hidden secrets.
- Both villains caused Alya to become furious at Marinette; while Hoaxer caused Alya to be angry because of mind control, Alya's anger in this episode was genuine and resulted from Revelator's actions, not his powers.
- The plot of both episodes has the villains make Marinette look like a bad person; Hoaxer mind controls everyone through her illusions to make everyone believe Marinette was Monarch, but Vincent, way before he became Revelator, uses information to make Marinette look bad by twisting the truth and words that are taken out of context.
- During Vincent's videos, images from "Strikeback", "Representation" and "Miraculous London" were re-done with the new models.
- Pictures of Marinette and Adrien from "Climatiqueen" and "Daddycop" also appear.
- In addition, posters of Adrien created by the Gabriel brand are redone in the style of the new animation.
- Two of the kwamis' favorite foods were revealed: Wayzz likes cookies, and Mullo, like Plagg, likes cheese.
- This is the first episode where Fire Captain Hessenpy is seen without his helmet, revealing his blonde hair.
- Like on her bulletin board in seasons 4 and 5, Marinette has photos from the characters' Instagram accounts on her wall.
- The "In The Rain" instrumental from "Stoneheart" is heard once again during Marinette and Adrien's interview, counting "Jubilation" and "Determination", this is the fourth time overall that this song is heard in the series.
- The instrumental which plays during Bug Noire and Gabriel's heart-to-heart in "Re-creation" is heard twice: between the Miraculous Ladybug and the Miraculous Cat Noir, and during Marinette and Alya's conversation at the beach at the end of the episode.
- Starting from this episode, Miss Hound's glitching arm at the end of the theme song has been fixed.
- The editing software that Vincent uses has a similar format to KineMaster.
Errors
- During the first shot of the heroes training, Rena Rouge's and Ryuko's hair and faces are distorted.
- Caprikid's costume is missing the fur around his shoulders and legs.
- The news broadcast at Le Café stops once Alya starts interviewing Vincent.
- Vincent's necklace clips through his shirt after Rena talks about telling the truth and when he claps after Adrien and Marinette kiss in the interview.
- When Marinette and Alya run into the water, a part of her hair clips through her head.
- When Marinette scrolls through Vincent Secret's videos on her computer, she uses her mouse to drag the scroll bar down. But instead of scrolling down, the videos scroll up.
- Like in previous episodes, Marinette's profile picture is reused from a render in the old style.
- Despite a new render being used in some scenes, when Alya receives Revelator's message, her profile picture is a 2D render with her old design.
