Description[]
Built in 1900 for the Universal Exposition, the Alesandro III bridge is a 154-meter-long and 45-meter-wide gray steel arch bridge. It has a single arch of 107 meters with three joints, thus allowing the crossing of the Seine without a foothold.
At each end there are two massive pylons at the top of which we find a bronze fame. There are also two groups of lions led by children. Along the bridge it is adorned with several statuary groups and illuminated by 32 bronze candelabra.
The apron, supported by the metal arch, is adorned with a series of masks and garlands that echo the rhythm of the connecting poles.
