The Parvis Notre-Dame - Place Jean-Paul II is a square in the 4th arrondissement of Paris and the square of the Notre-Dame de Paris.

Description

Created in the 12th century, the Parvis Notre-Dame is a square 135 meters long and 100 meters wide with a surface area of ​​1,200 m². Rectangular in shape, this square has a long esplanade of cut stone decorated with a bed of roses and offering an exceptional view of the western facade of the Notre-Dame de Paris.

It is bordered to the south by the Seine and the beginning of Square Jean XXIII, by the rue de la Cité to the west, by the Hotel Dieu to the north and by the Notre-Dame Cathedral. A lane of traffic runs along the square from Rue de la Cité and past the Hôtel Dieu, although it is framed by several rows of trees.

As seen in "Ikari Gozen", there is also a juice bar.

• The Parvis Notre-Dame was renamed Parvis Notre-Dame - Place Jean-Paul II in 2006, in homage to Pope John Paul II.
• The archaeological crypt of the Île de la Cité is accessible from the square.
• In the series, the Parvis Notre-Dame has been important several times:
  • In "Sandboy", it is in the Parvis Notre-Dame where part of the fight between Ladybug and Cat Noir against the eponymous villain took place
  • In "Weredad", Gigantitan caused extensive damage in the Parvis Notre-Dame.
