Optigami[1] was the titular main antagonist of the episode "Optigami". It was an origami butterfly-like sentimonster that functioned as a spy camera created specifically by Mayura, to find out the civilian identities of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Following right after the events of "Miracle Queen", Mayura created Optigami so she could spy on Ladybug, Cat Noir and other Miraculous holders.
Appearance
Optigami was an origami butterfly-like sentimonster, with similar colors to Shadow Moth's outfit. It had two eyes at an angle on its upper wings, with tiny black dots as its pupils.

Abilities
Optigami had the ability to merge with and hide inside of any object, with it not being visible. It could broadcast its vision as a live video on Mayura's tablet like a security camera. After Optigami unmerged with the object, the live video was sent to her tablet as a video that could be rewatched. Because of its magical nature, Optigami was able to allow the tablet that contained its amok to show images and videos of kwamis. It was also able to fly due to its butterfly form.
History
After the events of "Miracle Queen", Mayura created Optigami to spy on Ladybug and her part-time sidekicks from that moment onwards so as to figure out Ladybug's identity.
In "Optigami", Nathalie told Gabriel about her findings about the Miraculous heroes in both their superhero and civilian forms, but she never managed to find out Ladybug's identity or anything else that might be a point of interest. Nathalie began to think Optigami is useless, but Gabriel believed it could help to discover Ladybug's true identity, if it could possess a Miraculous.
Gabriel arranged a fashion event, intent on creating a powerful supervillain, believing that the best opportunity for Optigami to possess a Miraculous was when it was handed back to Ladybug.
Shadow Moth created a Sentimonster to anger Audrey so that he could akumatize her into Style Queen. While the heroes were distracted fighting her, Optigami waits as Rena Rouge mistakenly gave the Turtle Miraculous to Sentinino, believing that he was the real Nino Lahiffe. Once Rena Rouge runs off, Optigami possessed the Turtle Miraculous.
After Style Queen was defeated and Ladybug takes Rena Rouge and Sentipace up to the roof to take back their Miraculouses, Ladybug, using her Lucky Charm, was able to realize that Nino had an unusual reaction to the handshake Alya offered him despite their usual ones. This made Ladybug realize that Nino was actually a sentimonster created by Shadow Moth and, putting together the villain's plan, she had Cat Noir use his Cataclysm on the Turtle Miraculous, releasing Optigami out of it. After being exposed and its purpose no longer necessary, Shadow Moth released it from existence along with Sentinino.

- Optigami's name came from "optic", meaning eye, referring to its purpose of spying, and "origami", the Japanese art of paper folding, referring to its folded paper-like body.[2]
- Optigami was the second Sentimonster active while a person other than its creator wielded the Peacock Miraculous, the first being the Dormant Sentimonster created by Wang Fu.
- Interestingly, both sentimonsters were created from their creator's emotions.
- Optigami was the first sentimonster partly technological, as it could record and broadcast videos.
- Not only that, but, because of being magical, it allowed the technology to which it was connected to capture the image of Kwamis and, in this way, overcome their nature to not be perceived by human technology.
- This changes in "Hack-San", whose titular sentimonster was a living thumb drive containing a computer virus.
- It looked similar to an akuma since its original shape is a butterfly.
- Optigami's purpose was similar to that of Mayura during Season 3: spying on Ladybug and the rest of the French Miraculous superhero team, trying to take hold of Miraculouses, and finding the location of the Chinese Miracle Box and its current guardian.
- Optigami was the fourth sentimonster to be based on an animal, following a Butterfly Sentimonster, Banana Boom-Boom and Mega Leech.
- It was the fourth sentimonster to be destroyed by Shadow Moth, following Gabriel Agreste, Sentialec and Sentinino.
