Monk is a minor character of Miraculous World: New York - United Heroez. He is a member of the Order of the Guardians and the possessor of the Native American Miracle Box.
Appearance[]
Physical appearance[]
The Monk is an old man with a strong jaw, a big nose, and noticeable wrinkles. He has long gray hair, big bushy gray eyebrows, and a mole under his left eye.
Civilian attire[]
He wears a dirty-red tunic with black rims and a symbol on the front, a black belt wrapped around his waist, and a pair of dirty light-green shorts. He has black tape wrapped around his lower legs and wears a pair of elf shoes with soles partially broken off. He also wears white earrings and carries a staff.
Personality[]
Not much is known about this guardian's personality, but it is implied that he comes off as stoic, stern, and very serious. However, he seems open to new ideas, as he appeared interested in Eagle's idea of staying in New York and helping to form a new team of Miraculous-wielding superheroes.
Abilities[]
As a Guardian[]
Because he is a guardian, he was trained in Mirakung Fu, a fighting style specifically designed for dealing with rogue Miraculous wielders.
He can decipher the code in the Miraculous spellbook. He can probably also improve the health and read the energies of kwamis.
He also wields a staff equipped with a magic compass that can lead him to the Native American Miracle Box if he is ever separated from it.

With the rediscovery of the Eagle Miraculous and being its guardian, this unnamed guardian approached Eagle and requested that she give it back without any fuss, as he was not in the mood to fight. Despite showing to be worthy of the Miraculous, Jess understood the duty of the guardian and offered him the possibility of building a new superhero team with Miraculous holders, something the guardian seemed interested in.

With the discovery of the Eagle Miraculous and being its guardian, Uncanny Valley vouched for Eagle's worthiness of the Miraculous.

- He is the second member of the Order of Miraculous to appear, the first being Wang Fu.
- Technically, the Monk is the first known guardian who is actually an official guardian, as Master Fu never completed his training before the temple was destroyed, and Marinette never trained at the temple at all.
- The Monk is the only known Guardian who is non-Chinese and the only known Native American Guardian so far.
