Etymology

• The name "Mireille" most likely means "to admire". The French word "caquet" means "cackle" or "chatter", as in hens or gossip. Thus, Mireille's name points toward how she speaks admiringly of others.
  • Interestingly, in the Brazilian Portuguese dub, her name and surname are changed to Mirella Tagarela.
• In the Irish dub, her name is changed to Máirín.
