The Miraculous Penpals is an interactive adventure game based on the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. It was released on June 16, 2021 in the United States[1] and worldwide on October 18, 2021.[2]
Miraculous Penpals was rebranded as the card game Miraculous Secrets on January 5, 2023.[3]

Miraculous Penpals[]
The Miraculous Penpals game is a whole new interactive conpept that is neither an app or a digital experience. After subscribing, the child, now a Miraculous Penpal, receives real letters in the mailbox from the characters of the Miraculous series. In the letters, these familiar characters ask for the penpal's help in making decisions, carrying out activities or solving puzzles to save Paris from supervillains!
Penpals respond by mail, using pen and paper, and make their own choices for what comes next in the adventure.
With each subsequent mail exchange, they discover that their choices guide the rest of the adventure.[4]
Game Plot[]
Ladybug, Cat Noir and their friends need help!
Hawk Moth is having fun akumatizing people and supervillains are causing panic in the city! As a Miraculous Penpal, the player becomes an official Super-Advisor to Ladybug and Cat Noir, and will help the superheroes defeat the villains and save the inhabitants of Paris.
Marinette will also need the penpal's help as she investigates a mysterious character who is playing tricks on her...[4]
Subscription[]
The adventure begins after purchasing a paid subscription on the official website of the service. Then the player gets letters and additional gifts. The adventure is divided into six parts, which is personalized for a specific player and it is from directing the course of the story, helping the superheroes to save Paris. For this reason, none of the stories is similar to each other. Each of them is unique and exceptional.
The service is addressed to every recipient, regardless of age and gender.
The service contains two packages that differ from each other in price (the price may change, depending on the decision of the service provider. There are also temporary promotions):
Electronic correspondence (e-mail) – price: 39,99 USD – includes:
- A six-part adventure (a total of 24 personalized letters from the characters),
- A personalized story that evolves according to player choices,
- A ZAG author who personalizes the responses to player letters
- A poster and its original set of collectible stickers,
- Surprises, like: a personalized diploma, a postcard and others.
Correspondence by post (traditional mail) – price: $ 89.99 (service available only in the USA) – includes:
- Six-part adventure (a total of 24 personalized letters from the characters) – each of the envelopes is sent to the address provided by the player along with gadgets,
- A personalized story that evolves according to player choices,
- A ZAG author who personalizes the responses to player letters
- A poster and its original set of collectible stickers,
- Surprises, such as: a personalized diploma, a postcard and others,
- Exclusive gifts and collectibles: jewelry from the series, 3D magic scenography (backgrounds from the series) and characters,
- Five envelopes with a stamp for the player (envelopes for return shipping).
Trivia[]
- The official YouTube ad for this game features Ladybug and Cat Noir fighting a 2D supervillain. The scenes featuring it used recycled animation from "Animaestro".
- Interestingly, the ad features the Lucky Charm sequence which was only seen in "Lies" and "Mr. Pigeon 72".
