Miki[1] is one of the two deuteragonists in Miraculous World: Tokyo - Stellar Force (alongside Kazuno) and the animated spin-off series Miraculous Stellar Force. She is a student at Kano Academy, a superheroine, and member of the Stellar Force. She is the current bearer of the Leo Fragment, which allows her to become Leo and one of the guardians who possess a fragment of the Stellar Matrix.

Physical Appearance[]
Miki is a slender girl of medium height with fair skin. She has honey-blonde hair styled in a bob with upward spiky ends. Her bangs are parted near right with a curved left piece in the middle, curly forelocks framing her face, and slit, sharp, deep mint eyes with three wings on the upper lid and two on the lower lid.
Civilian Attire[]
Miki wears a V-neck white crop top with a brilliant yellow star logo that has a black border and shows her bare midriff. On top is a brilliant yellow, short jacket with short sleeves, a folded collar, and jet black upper shoulders. She also wears bright yellow skinny athletic shorts with jet black sides and waistband, and white drawstrings, the right shorter than the other. Her sneakers are white with a single strap. She also wears white fingerless short gloves with thick cuffs, a star on the palm, and a pointing layer. Miki accessorizes with brilliant yellow nail polish on her fingers.
As Leo[]
Leo wears a jumpsuit shared with her teammates: a black jumpsuit with rectangular-detailed white elbow trim, abdomen, thigh trim, and shins. On her chest is a black four-point star. Her lower arms (except her fingers), torso, shoulders, inner thighs, sides of her knees, and feet are all light yellow with black fingers and rectangular soles. Her helmet is black with a light yellow chin, silver components covering her ears, followed by yellow angular rectangles on top with black tips, and a large yellow six-point star at the back resembling her civilian hairstyle and possibly a lion's mane as well. On her left wrist is her yellow and black watch, the Leo Sprite.
Personality[]
Miki is bold and headstrong, but also competitive and brash. She is quick to the point, such as when she challenged Kagami to a contest when they first met. She is also blunt when she was easily beaten, yet claimed that Kagami had cheated. She is also straightforward, deliberate, puts herself first as she views herself as the best, arrogant, short-tempered, and can't make friends easily. This is because she learned to detach herself from befriending others when being moved around constantly as a child.
Miki has a bit of a "victory must be earned" attitude as she doesn't like easy victories and is honorable, especially in her relationship with Kazuno. Despite both having feelings for each other, she respectfully waited for him to come to her, showing she can be patient. In rare instances, Miki can be humble. After following Ladybug's lead, she and everyone else began to realize the mistake they made and thanked the heroine.

Leo has enhanced physical abilities, such as speed, combat, and agility and strength. With the help of the Leo Sprite, she can summon her Leo Sword.

Miki is aware that Kazuno has been in love with her since they were young. She shares the same feelings for him. For the most part, she views him as kind, smart, and altruistic. She finds him cute when he's blushing, seizing her heart, just as he sees his victories in judo. She refuses to reciprocate these feelings, since he never dared to confess his feelings, believing victories must be earned.

Etymology[]
- The name Miki is combination of Japanese kanji "mi" (美) meaning "beautiful" and "ki" (木, 希, 姫) meaning "tree", "hope", or "princess" respectfully. It can overall mean "beautiful hope".[2]
- It also can be derived from the name Michael (feminine version Michelle) from Western culture meaning "Who is like God?".
- Leo, Miki's hero name, is based on the Leo zodiac and constellation, the fifth zodiac sign.[3]
Trivia[]
- Miki was initially revealed in Stellar Force, and her dedicated series was presented at Mipjunior in Cannes 2024 by Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp.[4]
- However, her name wasn't revealed until a few months later.[5]
- Miki is somehow inspired by Ken Shido/Sazer Lion from Chouseishin Gransazer, whereas both represent the Leo constellation.
- Miki has traits normally associated with the Leo constellation:
- She is confident, a natural leader and competitive, even if she's somewhat arrogant, which would make sense for the zodiac she represents.
- Her theme color is yellow, which is a color the Leo zodiac can represent since it's often associated with warm colors due to being a fire sign.
- Her bob cut appears to be quite spiky, with a model similar to it at the back of her helmet.
- It could resemble a lion's mane, which would make sense as the Leo constellation is depicted as a lion.
- Miki is quite similar to Kagami:
- Both struggle with making friends, but they each have different histories in regards to that matter.
- They both use swords as their weapons.
