Unproduced episodes are planned episodes and media concepts mentioned by the crew of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir that were never made for the franchise. These unproduced episodes were either cancelled from production or were never greenlighted due to a lack of interest from executives.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir episodes[]
"Le Gourmangeur"[]
- Main article: Le Gourmangeur
"Le Gourmangeur" (English name unknown) is an episode Thomas Astruc wrote at the very beginning of the show's production. It would've followed a little diabetic boy who didn't understand his disease.[1]
On August 25, 2024, Thomas Astruc revealed that the topic was rejected by executives because food and disease are quasi-taboos.[2]
"Gagotor"[]
- Main article: Gagotor
"Gagotor" was a planned episode for Season 2 featuring Dany Boon.[3]
On August 6, 2019, Wilfried Pain confirmed on his Twitter that the episode was cancelled for unknown reasons.[4]
"Ladybug in Halloween"[]
- Main article: Ladybug in Halloween
"Ladybug in Halloween" is a scrapped 52-minute Halloween-themed episode.
On November 1, 2023, Thomas Astruc revealed that the Halloween episode was never produced due to requiring new CGI models created for characters wearing a costume. As a result, it's "too expensive" for the crew to produce it under the show's budget.[5]
Episode about influencers[]
On September 16, 2024, Thomas Astruc revealed that an episode about influencers had been written.[6]
Miraculous World TV movies[]
Miraculous Rio[]
- Main article: Miraculous Rio
"Miraculous World: Rio de Janeiro" is a planned special TV movie of the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir that would have set in Rio, Brazil.
As of late 2022, production for the TV special hasn't started yet. While the reason behind it is unknown, Fred Lenoir theorized in an Instagram comment reply that "maybe [the rest of the production crew] were just being careful or making sure the Rio [special] gets good animation & stuff".[7]
On May 24, 2022, it was revealed at the Las Vegas Licensing Expo that the tentative release year was changed to 2025.
On April 29, 2024, Thomas Astruc confirmed that the TV special hasn't been greenlighted by executives yet.[8]
Miraculous World television spin-offs[]
Because the Miraculous World TV movies introduce new heroes from other parts of the world, Thomas Astruc wanted to produce spin-offs and comic books based on the characters. However, as of 2024, none of the spin-offs were greenlighted yet.[8]
Ladydragon spin-off[]
Thomas confirmed on Twitter that he wrote a bible for an unproduced Ladydragon TV spin-off starring Fei Wu that would have been set in Shanghai, China.[8]
The planned series was first announced via Licensing Russia in April 2021, initially expected to premiere in 2022.[9]
On August 11, 2021, Jeremy Zag hinted at the idea of the TV series in an Instagram post.[10]
In July 2022, it was revealed via Licensing Russia that the series was slated for a 2024 release.[11]
On October 2022, a website owned by ZAG revealed a concept art that featured the official logo for the spin-off series.[12]
However, Thomas confirmed on April 29, 2024, that the project still didn't get greenlighted.
Untitled Miraculous Rio spin-off[]
Thomas confirmed on Twitter that he wrote a bible for a Miraculous Rio TV spin-off that would have been set in Rio, Brazil.[8]

However, just like with the Ladydragon spin-off, Thomas confirmed on April 29, 2024, that the project still didn't get greenlighted.
Miraculous: Tales from Paris webisodes[]

Miraculous: Tales from Paris were originally planned to have a total of twenty-six webisodes released for the series.[13]
However, the web series ended after releasing only five episodes because the crew shifted focus on the production of Miraculous Chibi.[14]
On December 14, 2016, Ezra Weisz, the English dubbing director, revealed on Instagram that he received the scripts for the web series.[15] He later confirmed on a Periscope live stream that there are eleven unreleased webisodes with some having finished animation.[16]
- Three voice actors have confirmed to record lines for their characters who were going to appear in the unreleased webisodes.
- On December 22, 2016, Ezra mentioned that Kira Buckland came to record her lines for a webisode that featured Alix.[17][18]
- On January 6, 2017, Michael Sinterniklaas came to record his lines for a webisode that featured Nathaniel.[19]
- On January 18, 2017, Ezra indirectly revealed that Grant George came to record his lines for a webisode that featured Kim.[20]
Miraculous Ladybug OVA[]

The Miraculous Ladybug OVA was a planned anime series that was going to be produced and animated by Toei Animation.[21]
On April 3, 2017, the official Miraculous Ladybug Tumblr confirmed that the development for the OVA was cancelled.[22]
On April 28, 2024, Thomas confirmed on Twitter that the OVA was scrapped due to the lack of interest from broadcasters wanting to greenlight the project.[23]
Miscellaneous projects[]
Miraculous Lady Bug feature film[]
- Main article: Miraculous Lady Bug
Miraculous Lady Bug (also known as Lady Bug) was an early feature film idea for the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir franchise. The film was to be directed and written by Thomas Astruc and was to be co-produced by Zagtoon Pictures and Onyx Films.[24]
Because Miraculous Lady Bug was announced when the franchise was early in development, the film was cancelled.
Second COVID-19 PSA video[]
The second COVID-19 PSA video was a planned short special that were going to be created by ZAG and ON Kids & Family with participation of Paris and UNICEF France.
It was going to be part of a public relations campaign to encourage the audience to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic infection.[25]
As of 2021, the PSA video was never released and got cancelled for unknown reasons.
Interstellar adventure episode[]
On August 25, 2024, Thomas Astruc revealed that an episode with an interstellar adventure was ready, but hadn't been greenlighted by executives.[26]
Unknown projects[]
- On April 29, 2024, Thomas revealed on Twitter that he wrote stories for an unknown project about how Majestia and Knightowl met.[8]
- Back on October 16, 2020, Thomas hinted at the idea of a spin-off comic series based on Eagle and Uncanny Valley. He even liked the idea of publishing it on BayDay.com, a now-defunct digital comic site. However, it's unknown if the comic series is connected to his stories about the first meeting between Majestia and Knightowl.[27]
- He confirmed on Twitter that he wrote stories for an unknown project starring the Re-Verse inhabitants from Miraculous Paris.[8]
- He also confirmed that he wrote stories about the past Miraculous holders prior to Ladybug and Cat Noir for an unknown project.[8]
- Back on February 17, 2019, Thomas revealed at Japan Tours Festival that the crew "don't know if it's going to be a series one day, but [they have tried] to make it a comic".[30]
- While he hasn't confirmed yet, it's speculated that this project was Tales of Miraculous, a cancelled comic book series that was going to be published by Action Lab Comics.
- On April 30, 2024, Thomas also revealed that he has written a story that features Gabriel Agreste, Emilie Agreste, and Nathalie Sancoeur in Tibet where they discovered both the Butterfly Miraculous and the Peacock Miraculous. However, he didn't specifically stated that it would be part of the Miraculous World series.[31]

- Because Thomas has no power to greenlight the spin-offs since he's only the creator and director, he encourages fans to let executives know that they are interested in the projects.[32][33][34][35][36]
- As of April 2024, there are a few projects that were announced but haven't released yet. However, because it's unknown if they are still planning for production or if they had been greenlighted yet, they shouldn't be added to the list until confirmation.
- A crossover special between Miraculous Ladybug and Ghostforce.
- The special was hinted by Jeremy Zag on May 24, 2022.[37]
- It was originally going to be released in 2023, but it was either cancelled or delayed after Miraculous Paris took its place in the release schedule.[38]
- During a Las Vegas Licensing Expo 2022, the tentative release year was changed to 2024.
- However, as of 2024, it's unknown if the project is still in development or was cancelled.
- Miraculous: One Night Mission, a TV movie featuring Ladybug teaming up with Sparrow and Ladydragon.
- It was announced that the tentative release date would be on Halloween 2024.[39]
- Miraculous Dakar, a TV movie sets in Dakar, Senegal featuring LadyLion.
- A LadyLion television spin-off of Miraculous Dakar was announced in April 2021 via Licensing Russia. Its initial tentative release year was going to be 2024.[9]
- It was announced via Licensing Russia 2022 that the tentative release year was changed to 2026.[11]
- However, while unconfirmed, it's rumored that the LadyLion television spin-off has been retooled into a musical feature film separate from the Miraculous Ladybug franchise. The feature film will be developed by ZAG Animation Studios and Cross Creek Pictures as part of their ten-pictures deal.[42]
- Miraculous Tokyo, a TV movie sets in Tokyo, Japan featuring LadyTiger.[41]
- It was announced via Licensing Russia 2022 that the tentative release year is going to be 2026.[11]
- A LadyTiger television spin-off of Miraculous Tokyo was first hinted by Jeremy Zag in an Instagram post on June 22, 2022.[43]
