Laura Marano is an American singer and actress, best known for her role as Ally Dawson in the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally. She is the younger sister of Vanessa Marano, who is also a singer.
On June 7, 2016, Jeremy Zag revealed on his Instagram that Marano had recorded a song for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.[1] Her mother later confirmed this.[2] The music video featuring the song was released on July 23, 2016.[3] As revealed at New York Comic Con 2016, more music collaborations with Marano are happening.[4]

Laura began acting at age five and has worked on numerous series since then, including Austin & Ally, and a movie titled Bad Hair Day.[5]
She has released two studio albums pertaining to Austin & Ally in 2013 and 2015, entitled Austin & Ally: Turn It Up and Austin & Ally: Take It from the Top, respectively.[6] The former of the two soundtracks reached number six in the US top OST charts.[7] In March 2015, Laura revealed she had been signed by Big Machine Records and released her first independent single in March 2016.[8]
She has won two awards for her roles on Disney Channel.[9][10]

On June 30th, Jeremy Zag posted a video on his Instagram of Marano recording the theme song for the show, "It's Ladybug".[11] The Miraculous music video, featuring Marano's performance of the song, premiered at San Diego Comic-Con International on July 23, 2016, and was released on Nickelodeon's website the same day.[12]

- She is a fan of the show, and in particular the relationship between Marinette and Adrien.[13]
- Her favorite ships involving the pair are "Adrienette" and "Ladynoir".[13]
- As revealed at a Miraculous Ladybug panel at San Diego Comic Con 2016, she will voice her character in Season 2.[14]
- However, when the episode eventually aired, Marano only provided Clara Nightingale's singing voice. The reason for this change is unknown.
