Jean-Pierre Monlataing[1] is a minor character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. He is an art professor who works at Collège Françoise Dupont.
Appearance
Physical appearance
Jean-Pierre is a tall man with fair skin and grayish green eyes. He has short, puffy gray hair he keeps swept back from his forehead.
Civilian attire
Jean-Pierre wears a very dark cornflower blue vest over a white long-sleeved shirt that is stained with paint. He also sports a brown belt, with dark brown pants and a pair of dark boots.
Personality
Jean-Pierre is quite relaxed and calm, encouraging students to develop their artistic skills by inviting them to come to his classroom whenever they want to work on art projects. However, he stands firm when he notices someone being negative, such as when Chloé Bourgeois mocks Nathaniel Kurtzberg's drawings of Ladybug. He responds to this by telling her that she is welcome to work on her art project, but nothing other than that. He is nevertheless sad when Chloé leaves when it seemed that she had a project to present until Alix accurately guessed her project was another collage of selfies.
When under Reverser's influence, he led the students in destroying art and music.

- He is based on Thomas Astruc's former teacher named Jean-Pierre.[2]
- His full name might be a reference to the French expression J'en perds mon latin ("I'm losing my Latin over it"), which means "this completely baffles me"; an equivalent English expression would be "It's all Greek to me".
- So far, he is the only employee seen on screen at the Collège Françoise Dupont who has not yet been akumatized.
