Irupé is a character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is a Brazilian girl who lives in Rio de Janeiro, and a close friend of Luka Couffaine who she's pretending to be in a relationship with.
When her Hummingbird Jewel is inhabited by Maino'li, she becomes a hummingbird-themed superheroine.

Irupé is a Brazilian teenager of medium height and dark skin. She has long, wavy brown hair pulled back into a braid and brown eyes.
Civilian Attire[]
She wears a white T-shirt with a pink flower over a green two-piece swimsuit with large white flowers and the Hummingbird Jewel around her neck.
Personality[]
She has a friendly personality, comforting Luka whenever he's worried and showing affection with small pecks. She seems supportive and kind, showing care for Luka and those who are close to him, even accepting to be his pretend girlfriend for Marinette's sake.

Etymology[]
- The name Irupé comes from the Guarani word yrupé or irupé, from y ("water") and rupé ("path, surface"), meaning "that which covers the water" or "path over the water," in reference to the giant water lily (Victoria cruziana) whose leaves float like a carpet on rivers and lagoons. In Guarani culture, the irupé is also linked to a legend in which a young girl, in love with the moon, threw herself into the river and was transformed into the great water lily.
