“ | Hack-San. You've been created with a power to hack into the emotions of a robot. Thanks to you, I will be able to reakumatize him. | ” |
—Shadow Moth, "Hack-San" |
Hack-San was the titular main antagonist of the episode "Hack-San". It was a thumb drive sentimonster created by Shadow Moth from his own emotions of determination and ambition in the midst of his latest plan to take Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses.
In "Hack-San", Shadow Moth used the sentimonster to send a virus to Markov which forced him to be angry so that he could re-akumatize him into Robostus.
Appearance[]
Hack-San looked like a flash drive. It had black and white stripes and a red dot in the middle which was its eye. It was shaped with a round body with one leg and 5 protuberances (two at the bottom and three at the top).
The white part turned red when Hack-San sent its virus onto a computer.
Abilities[]
Upon being plugged into a technological device, Hack-San was able to download a computer virus with the main purpose of infecting Markov through his computer and making him unyieldingly angry so that Shadow Moth could turn him back into his akumatized form, Robostus.
The computer virus Hack-San sent to the person or machine could be disguised as a pop up email message that could fool anyone.
History[]
Shadow Moth created Hack-San in order to prevent Robostus from turning against him like what happened the first time. Nathalie then used Hack-San to send a computer virus which infected Markov, turning his emotions negative so Shadow Moth would be able to re-akumatize him into Robostus.
After Markov was de-akumatized, with Hack-San's purpose no longer necessary, Shadow Moth released it from existence.

Trivia[]
- Hack-San's design, appearance and powers are based on X.A.N.A., an evil artificial computer virus who is the main antagonist in the French animated series Code Lyoko and its live-action sequel Code Lyoko: Evolution.[1][2]
- Thomas Astruc worked as a storyboarder for Code Lyoko's first season and Fred Lenoir worked as a writer for the first two.
- Code Lyoko shares many subtle similarities with Miraculous Ladybug.
- Odd Della Robbia and Adrien Agreste are both Blonde and are Cat-Themed Heroes.
- Yumi Ishiyama and Kagami Tsurugi are both from Japan.
- Strangely enough, by reversing the syllables of it's name and then removing the "ck" from "hack", it's name becomes "San-Ha" which if pronounced out loud would sound a lot like "X.A.N.A."
- This was the second sentimonster partly technological, following Optigami.
- The name "Hack-San" is Japanese for "Miss Hack". This fitting not only the sentimonster, but also Nathalie, because this was the second time she unleashed a sentimonster whose goal was to "hack the heroes" after "Optigami".
- Hack-San shared a similar appearance to the symbol on Nino's T-shirt, although they aren't meant to be related.[3]
- It was the sixth sentimonster to be destroyed by Shadow Moth, following Gabriel Agreste, Sentialec, Sentinino, Optigami and Sentibubbler.
