This article is about a Fox Miraculous holder in ancient China. You may be looking for another Fox. |
Húlí was a Miraculous holder who is featured in the Grimoire for the Fox Miraculous. When Trixx inhabited the pendant , she transformed into a fox-themed superhero.
Appearance[]
As depicted in the Miraculous spellbook, the Fox Miraculous holder had long black hair and bangs that she tied into two small side ponytails and one low ponytail, the tips of her ponytails being orange and white. She wore an orange cloth band around her head, its edges tied up and pointed like fox ears, and an orange cloth covered her nose and mouth. She wore an orange sleeveless tunic that was white on one upper edge and an orange sash wrapped around her shoulders. She also wore orange trousers, black knee-high cloth over her lower legs, black wristbands, and black shoes. Around her waist and hips was a wide white sash tied with an orange string, with one orange, white-tipped part of it falling being her like a fox's tail.
Abilities[]
The Fox Miraculous holder used the flute, as seen in the book illustration. And assuming that the past Fox Miraculous holder powers are the same as the recent Fox Miraculous holder (Rena Rouge), she would have the superpower Mirage, allowed her to create illusions. She would also had enhanced skills, such as speed, strength, and - most prominently - agility.

Trivia[]
- The akumatized supervillain Volpina's design is strongly influenced by Húlí's illustration.
- In "Volpina", Lila Rossi calls her an ancient vixen superhero and lies that her name is Volpina.
- However, it is unknown how Lila read the grimoire, because that is the name coded in the book and as mentioned by Nooroo in "Syren" only guardians can read it.
- Given that it's unlikely that Lila can read nyctographs and knew of the holder's Chinese origins, as the book in code calls this Miraculous holder Volpina, she came up with the name Volpina as it derives from the Italian word for fox, "volpe".
- However, it is unknown how Lila read the grimoire, because that is the name coded in the book and as mentioned by Nooroo in "Syren" only guardians can read it.
- Húlí (狐狸) means "fox" in Chinese and the word isn't that far off from Fuli which means "very fast" in Swahili referring to a Fox Miraculous holder's superior agility.
- Hóng hú (紅狐) means "red fox" in Chinese.
- She is the earliest known Fox Miraculous holder.
- She is the first known person of Chinese origins to wield the Fox Miraculous, preceding Marinette, who used it once in "Kwamibuster".
- Similar to Hippolyta and Heracles, since she and the other Chinese holders were the first Miraculous holders it's likely that they knew each other.
