Gilbert du Motier, Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette, Marquis de Lafayette, commonly known as simply Lafayette, was a French aristocrat and military officer.
When he was only 19 years old, he fought in the War of Independence and helped George Washington to win the battle of Yorktown.
He was a past Miraculous holder, wielding the Eagle Miraculous and transforming into an eagle-themed superhero with the power of Freedom when Liiri inhabited it. He later gifted the Miraculous to George Washington as a symbol of friendship between France and the United States.

Appearance[]
Lafayette was a tall, broad-shouldered, elegant, and fair-skinned man. He wore a wig of fairly groomed white hair (with his real hair being red) that was often seen kept in curls. His eyes were dark brown/hazel. He had a "long" or bridged nose, almost pointing forward.
Abilities[]
As a civilian[]
He was known to wield a saber, implying he had some skill in swordsmanship. He also had a pistol that was known as "The Lafayette/Washington pistol".
As a superhero[]
With the Eagle Miraculous, Lafayette presumably has enhanced strength, speed, and agility. He was also almost invulnerable, which was presumably a vital factor in the battle of Yorktown.
He also utilized the unique superpower of the eagle miraculous, Liberation, allowing him to free a person from mental or emotional constraints that limit their full potential, such as fear of one's own power, or ethical guidelines. This power gave him a reputation that even from a young age, he had a great ability to galvanize people, something that most has accredited to his immense potential.
