“ | What we need is a magic wand. I can create any object I want, so I guess I can make a wand, but I don’t have the power to make it magic. | ” |
—Caprikid, "Penalteam" |
Genesis is the special superpower granted by the Goat Miraculous to its owner.
Description[]
This superpower allows the user to draw any mundane object they can imagine into existence. It is activated by the user speaking its name.
Miraculous owner[]
The Goat Miraculous owner raises the Paint Brush and the bristles are charged with white magical energy. The user then waves it to paint the desired object into existence, painting on thin air itself in the general shape of the object they wish to produce. Notably, as seen in "Intuition", while the user has to paint in roughly the right shape of the desired object, the size can be way off; Monarch was able to make a giant meteor by drawing only a small circle.
Genesis allows the user to produce any object they want; it can be a naturally occurring object, such as a boulder, a man-made object; such as a wooden box, a mechanical device like a crossbow, or even a technological object; such as a tracking device. It is revealed in "Passion" that Genesis can also be used to produce multiple objects in one usage, if those objects are all part of the same object. For example: a trunk full of equipment.
As seen in "Intuition", the object can be made to appear anywhere the user desires, whether they want it to appear right next to them or even all the way in outer space. Additionally, it seems the object can be made to carry out an action once it has been produced. After Monarch created a giant meteor, it began hurtling towards the Earth in accordance with Monarchs plan. Although, this may have just been the result of the Earth's gravitational pull.
Genesis can produce technological objects, though it is unknown how advanced the technology can be. Additionally, even though it can't produce objects that are themselves magical, it can produce objects that can utilize external magic, such as a crossbow that can shoot magic arrows that never miss their target, as long the power to never miss the target belongs to the user.
The power of Genesis is mainly used for versatility and resourcefulness; it can be used to deceive the opponent with the use of a fake object as seen in "Penalteam" to pretend if the user and/or item has some sort of power or to create a counterfeit item. The object can be natural, mechanized, or technological to handle multiple opponents at once by using a holder's surroundings, as seen in "Intuition". Genesis is not without combat applications, for the holder can create another object to help defend themselves as seen in "Passion".
Ziggy[]
The effects of Ziggy's Genesis is unknown, but it would most certainly be unconstrained and results in some kind of catastrophe. It could possibly be similar to Tikki's use of Lucky Charm, but the object would be mundane.
Weaknesses[]
Genesis allows the Goat Miraculous owner to produce any object they desire, but the user doesn't have the power to make the object magical. For example, if the user were to make a magic wand, it would look real, but it would basically just be a stage prop, toy, or replica as it certainly wouldn't be able to cast any magic.
The objects produced through Genesis can be destroyed or disintegrated by Cataclysm.
Resistance can cancel out the effects of Genesis, but it is likely similar to Lucky Charm, in that the object would have to come into contact with the Resistance users body.
In "Miraculous Paris", it is revealed that using the special superpower uses vital energy from the Kwami, but also from the miraculous holder. It's one thing for an adult holder, but for an underage holder, who is less physically and mentally capable of handling the strain, there is a security system in place that limits them to only using their special power once and causes them to detransform before it becomes dangerous. However, using the Miraculous for evil overrides the limiter, allowing an underage holder to use their powers to their full potential. As previously stated, a younger holder cannot handle the strain; dark veins of corruption will gradually spread across their body, and they will inevitably be destroyed.

Trivia[]
- Genesis means coming into being.
- This is the third superpower that can create an item, after Lucky Charm and Uproar.
- But unlike Uproar and Lucky Charm, the user can create any object they want instead of receiving a seemingly random item even as a minor.
- Also, unlike them, the object is mundane and lacks any kind of superpower/mythical/magical properties.
- But unlike Uproar and Lucky Charm, the user can create any object they want instead of receiving a seemingly random item even as a minor.
- It's unknown if a holder can erase the object they've created.
- Genesis perfectly matches Nathaniel as a Goat Miraculous holder with his former imagined superhero identity Mightillustrator and akumatized form Evillustrator, who also had the ability to create objects.
- However, unlike Caprikid, they could create magical objects.
- The power is called "Creation" in the Dutch dub.
- Although Gift, Clout, and Uproar are the three superpowers that Monarch never used throughout Season 5, he only used Genesis in an alternate timeline in "Intuition".
