Gabriel's letter to Adrien is a will that Gabriel had written for Adrien in anticipation of his potential defeat. In the letter, Gabriel revealed that he was Monarch and that he had been trying to obtain the Ladybug and the Cat Miraculouses in order to revive Émilie. He also wanted Adrien to continue his goal of becoming the new holder of the Butterfly Miraculous.

The letter is handwritten on a piece of white paper. It was inside a white envelope with the name "Adrien" handwritten on the front. The envelope was clipped to a postcard featuring Gabriel and an Alliance ring.

I did all I could to seize the miraculous of the ladybug and the Black Cat. With their powers, I could have brought your mother back, but I failed. My son, it's your turn now to continue my mission. - Due to the fact that the letter was in the box regarding Adrien's first year of life and that the postcard featured an Alliance ring, Marinette realized that Gabriel had placed it there and prevented Adrien from discovering it by stealing it without his knowledge.
