The time has come for us to find our next victim, my wicked little akumas, and to prey upon Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Hawk Moth, "Mr. Pigeon"

Gabriel's lair was a room or observatory located inside the Agreste mansion. Here, formerly Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch, stores many white butterflies that, once corrupted, become akumas and megakumas, which he uses to akumatize his victims.

In "The Collector", the lair is revealed to be connected to Gabriel's atelier in the Agreste mansion by a pathway. In the portrait of Émilie Agreste, there is a pattern of buttons Gabriel presses to get to the lair.

Appearance[]

Lair's window opening after Hawk Moth senses a negative emotion.

The room is large, dome-like, and dark when Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch is not using an akuma. It has a large window with a butterfly (or flower) design that opens whenever Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch plans to send an akuma to a person who feels strong negative emotions. In the back of the room, a circular shape is on the ground, which Gabriel stands on to travel between the Agreste mansion and his lair.

Once a villain gets defeated, the window closes, encasing the room in darkness once again.

Throughout the season 5, there were kwami cages which became a temporary home for Kwamis. In "Destruction", Gabriel installed a special device in the lair, which transported the Miraculouses to the Rings. In "Pretension", Gabriel installed a special healing couch with wires, absorbing the Kwamis' powers and restoring his health after the impact of Cataclysm on him. In "Miraculous London", after Natalie revealed all of Gabriel's secrets and released Kwamis, Bug Noire destroyed Kwami cage and the lair remained empty.
