Fu's letter to Marinette is a note that Fu had written in advance for Marinette, in the event that he would lose his memory after passing on his guardianship to her. He stored the letter in a locker at the Gare du Nord train station, alongside a photo of his love, Marianne, and the gramophone in which he used to keep the Chinese Miracle Box.
Appearance[]
The letter is handwritten on a sheet of plain white paper. It was inside a light blue envelope that had "Marinette" handwritten on its frontside, with a nondescript, red wax seal closing it on its backside.

"Experiencing loss is a part of life: some people lose their first love, some lose the harmony in their relationship. Some people lose hope, others lose patience, while others lose their soul. Some lose their certainties, and some have nothing to lose.
Experiencing loss is a part of life, but good things come, too. Expect the unexpected, and embrace it. Each first-time is an adventure, and who knows how far these adventures will lead you. You find people to whom you entrust your heart, as much as they entrust theirs to you. That trust is sometimes broken, but it can always be restored. Yes, sometimes the road can be winding - you might even get lost along the way. But with the help from the right people, you'll always find your destination.
As we grow old, we realize life doesn't always give us all the gifts we hoped it would. I would have loved to tell you all this in person, Marinette, but if you're reading this, it means I've already lost my memory. But you mustn't be scared, and you mustn't be sad. As I was telling you at the beginning of this letter, experiencing loss is a part of life, but it doesn't define it. Because what really matters isn't whether you win or lose. It's the ability to accept changes in ourselves. It's accepting that even if life doesn't always give us the gifts we were hoping for, the real gift is life itself."
History[]
In the episode "Miracle Queen", Ladybug's Lucky Charm resembled the key chain to Master Fu's locker, making him realize that it was time to pass down the title of Guardian to her. By relinquishing his Miracle Box, he lost all of his memories of anything related to the Miraculous, including those of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Despite this, he still gave Ladybug his key chain, because he recognized that it matched her Lucky Charm. Later, Marinette is able to find his locker using this key chain, and subsequently finds his letter as well.
