“ | No more evildoing for you, little akuma/megakuma/ultrakuma. Time to de-evilize! | ” |
De-evilization is a secondary special superpower of the Ladybug Miraculous.
Description[]
This superpower allows the user to purify anything "corrupt or malignant".[1]
The Ladybug Miraculous owner first swipes their finger across the Yo-yo, causing it to open. The user then swings the Yo-yo, capturing the target as it goes, trapping the infection and curing the target once it's inside it.
The Miraculous owner then pulls back and catches the Yo-yo. After catching it, the Miraculous owner opens the Yo-yo to release the target they captured, now purified.
The Miraculous owner can use this purification power on various things, such as akumas created through the power of the Butterfly Miraculous, or amoks created through the power of the Peacock Miraculous, as well as on other animals or objects that are corrupted, infected, or dirty in some way, leaving them healed and clean. But it's unknown if the power can be used to heal Kamikos due to their benevolent nature.
It can also be used to clean an unknown black substance, as seen in fourth issue of Miraculous Adventures.
The Yo-yo is able contain things larger than the Yo-yo itself, and it can hold more than one object at once, from a stuffed animal to a huge swarm of akumas.

Trivia[]
- If an akuma is allowed to fly away without being captured and De-evilized, then it will multiply into thousands. The duplicate akumas will fly across the city and transform any random people they come across into physical duplicates of the original akumatized person. They will be frozen like statues. The original akuma will fly back to the Butterfly Miraculous holder until the person who was akumatized is in the right emotional state to be akumatized again. Once reakumatized, the duplicates will come to life and serve as the original's army.
- It is currently unknown what would happen if an amok were allowed to fly away without being captured.
