Dark Grimalkin was a past Cat Miraculous holder who was revealed by the memory of Jeanne d'Arc in the episode "Reunion". He was a champion of England sent to subjugate France before he and France's own champion, Jeanne d'Arc (known as Scarlet Fate), fell in love with each other. When Plagg inhabited the Cat Miraculous, he transformed into a cat-themed superhero.

Dark Grimalkin is a young strong-looking man with long, black hair, sideburns and a stubble.

Dark Grimalkin wears dark grey chain-mail armor that is covered by a long black tunic. The tunic has a bright green cat paw logo on his torso. He wears black boots and gloves. He also wears a removable black helmet with triangular protrusions similar to cat ears.
Personality[]
As described by Jeanne d'Arc, Dark Grimalkin was a noble warrior that defended his own nation with great courage. Despite being at different sides of a war and entering in many conflicts, he admired Jeanne for her dedication to protect the innocent people that were caught in the crossfire of the war and that led him to fall in love with her, with the same happening with her. Realizing they were both manipulated by their respective monarchs into fighting each other, they entered in a secret relationship, despite knowing that would be considered treason. Their love for each other was so strong that they abdicated of their roles as Miraculous holders so they could be together.

If this past Cat Miraculous holder had the same powers as the current holder, he had enhanced physical abilities and the superpower Cataclysm. He also used the staff.

- The name "Grimalkin" is an archaic term for "cat". It stems from "grey" (the colour) plus "malkin", an archaic term with several meanings (a low class woman, a weakling, a mop, or a name). Scottish legend makes reference to the grimalkin as a faery cat that dwells in the highlands.
- Chronologically, he is the first Cat Miraculous holder to have a confirmed interaction with a Ladybug Miraculous holder (Jeanne d'Arc), as well as having a romantic relationship with her.
- He and Jeanne d'Arc are also the first known Miraculous holders ever to have been at opposite sides of a conflict.
