The Cour Napoléon is the only open courtyard of the Louvre Palace and is made of sandstone and granite slabs. Rectangular in shape and with a surface area of 28,000 m2, it is bordered to the west by the Place du Carrousel, to the north by the Richelieu Wing, to the east by the Pavillon de Sully and to the south by the Denon Wing.
The center of the courtyard is dominated by the Louvre Pyramid and the adjoining pyramids and pools, which serve as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum.

- In real life, an equestrian statue of Louis XIV is located near the Louvre Pyramid.
- The pavilions are also decorated with "Illustrious Men", a series of 86 statues representing personalities of French culture, such as Jean de la Fontaine, Molière, Montesquieu, among others.
- In the TV series, the Cour Napoléon has been important on several occasions:
- In "The Pharaoh", it is in the Cour Napoléon where most of the fight between Ladybug and Cat Noir against the eponymous villain took place.
- In "The Mime", he is in the Cour Napoléon where Fred was akumatized into the eponymous villain and briefly fought Ladybug and Cat Noir.
