Synopsis
TFOU
Ladybug and Chat Noir train against an opponent determined to steal the hearts of the Parisians. Superhero storm alert![4]
Plot
The episode starts with Adrien scrolling through social media. More specifically, on the Zoo app. The videos are of the following: Rose introduces Unipony to her followers, Aurore elaborates on the identity of a cirrostratus cloud relating to a change in the weather, and Chloé announces she will be starting a contest on the Bee community, granting a wish to the Bee who gains the most followers. We then see Alec Cataldi hosting an episode of "One Day, One Passion" all about Gabriel Agreste, re-telling the story of his "heroic sacrifice". Adrien unhappily stops watching and texts Marinette. He rests himself on his bed, and we get to see his bedroom is currently in renovation.
Tikki informs Marinette she received another text from Adrien, watching her holder gather items to be repaired at their respective workshops. Marinette reads Adrien's text and gets determined to come up with an equally sweet reply, but Tikki reminds her she has to go to school. Marinette panics and says she'll figure out something on the way instead.

Plot Developments
- At the end of this episode, Adrien realizes his love for running and meets Sublime Varlette, both of which were featured in "Sublimation", where it was revealed that she and Adrien had been running partners for some time.
- Adrien is unsure about what to do now that he is free to do whatever he wants, as all of his previous activities had been imposed to him by his father. It is also revealed that Nathalie arranged for his schedule to be fully open to allow him to do what he wants
- Likewise, his room is revealed to be in renovation with his football table, video games and everything being gone.
- Marinette tries to help Adrien to find something that he may enjoy doing, like trying out her own favorite activities or his previous ones with him. Between those activities, they were:
- Marinette's activities: Painting, learning science, and baking.
- Adrien's activities: Learning Japanese and poetry-making.
- Similar to his father as of "Illusion", Adrien has started to be the one to make breakfast for him and Nathalie. As such, Adrien is revealed to have some culinary skill.
- According to Nathalie, his pancakes are much better than Gabriel's, as they are delicious and sweet. This is a nod to how Marinette criticized Gabriel's pancakes for being tasteless back in "Pretension" and also a nod to how Adrien is more caring, sweeter and kinder than the self-oriented Gabriel was.
- His skill also extends to baking, according to Marinette later in the episode. She also states his drawing was good for a beginner and Adrien himself is shown to be rather good at poetry (which is revealed to have been one of his former extracurriculars).
- It is revealed that a new social media was created called Zoo, where each community inside it is named after the animals of each of the members of the French Miraculous superhero team.
- Marinette, Adrien and all the members of the Miraculers are part of the community represented by the animals of their respective Miraculous.
- Chloé is part of the Bee Community and uses it to expand her own popularity, even making contests for those of the same community as her, forbidding those from the Ladybug, Goat, Fox, Turtle and Horse (and possibly all the other Communities) from joining.
- In this episode, it was revealed that Diane, Nora Césaire and Ray are also part of the Bee Community.
- Aurore Beauréal used to be part of the Bee Community. After seeing how her desire for popularity caused her to betray her friends and use their private life to win a contest, she left it and joined the Ladybug Community.
- It is revealed that Ondine, Manon, and Kagami have enrolled into Collège Françoise Dupont.
- This marks the first time in which Ondine is seen outside of her swimsuit.
- There is a new teacher at Collège Françoise Dupoint, Gine Jinet, with her teaching Poetry.
- She is in a wheelchair, making her one of the few characters with a disability.
- Interestingly, Poetry used to be a subject taught by Caline Bustier when she was a teacher at Françoise Dupoint, meaning this new teacher most likely came to take her place as teacher after she became the mayoress.
Trivia
- Climatiqueen is a portmanteau of the words "climatic" and "queen".
- This is the first episode of the second story arc of the Miraculous saga.
- It also mirrors the very first episode of the first story arc (and the very first episode of the entire series), by having the same person (Aurore Beauréal) be akumatized by the Butterfly Miraculous holder into a supervillain with weather powers. Many scenes and details in the episode are reminiscent of "Stormy Weather":
- Aurore's reason of getting akumatized; joining a contest and eventually losing.
- The iconic running up the wall of a building.
- Cat Noir giving the akumatized Aurore Beauréal a nickname: "Dramatiqueen". In Stormy Weather, he called her "Ice Queen" instead.
- Ladybug using her yoyo to grab onto something and grabbing Cat Noir's tail to prevent him being blown away by one of Aurore's attacks.
- Aurore using her wind attacks to launch a vehicle at Ladybug and Cat Noir.
- Cat Noir's one-on-one interaction with Aurore while spinning his tail.
- Ladybug breaking Aurore's parasol to release the akuma.
- One of the animations of Ladybug throwing her yoyo is similar to when she threw said weapon around the ice-encased carousel with Alya and Manon inside to try and break it.
- Despite being the first episode of the second story arc, there are several clues in this episode and the next two that point out this episode is not the first in the second arc's chronology:
- At no point in the episode, was Aurore referred to as the first akumatized victim of the new Butterfly holder, by civilians or the heroes.
- Ladybug (and most likely Cat Noir) is already aware of the Ultrakuma, suggesting she saw them before.
- In "The Illustrhater", Alya and Nino interrogated the only persons known to have been akumatized by the new holder at the time: Caline Bustier and Caroline, the latter being akumatized in "Sublimation".
- Since Adrien discovers his love for running and meets Sublime by himself, this explains why Marinette didn't know about her in the aforementioned episode.
- This is the first episode of the entire series in which Gabriel Agreste is physically absent either in his civilian form or with his supervillain alter-egos due to his permanent death after the events of "The Last Day".
- However, in addition to being mentioned, he is briefly seen in pictures on Adrien's phone at the beginning of the episode.
- Chrysalis' akumatization process is shown and confirms that akumatization process can often vary between Butterfly Miraculous holders:
- After her Ultrakuma akumatizes her target's object, she and her target appear in a purple void within the target's mind. Cerise calls them by name (showing that the Butterfly Miraculous is capable of revealing this information) and tempts them into accepting the akuma.
- That means Gabriel also knew the names of the victims he akumatized but, like himself, he also encouraged his victims to throw their old names away to symbolize their new ones.
- Her victims are the ones to come up with their villain name, after which they transform. She lets them choose their own name to give them the illusion that they are in control and that she only wants to help them.
- When she manifests in her victims' minds to talk to them, she appears as a blank silhouette with no distinctive male or female features and speaks in a combination of both male and female voices, so that the victims are unable to discover her gender.
- After her Ultrakuma akumatizes her target's object, she and her target appear in a purple void within the target's mind. Cerise calls them by name (showing that the Butterfly Miraculous is capable of revealing this information) and tempts them into accepting the akuma.
- This episode marks Vincent Aza's first physical appearance since "Kwamibuster".
- In one scene, Vincent emerges from a trash bin with his phone setup and insists Adrien to give him a few words about his father, leading to Marinette quickly rejecting him then dragging Adrien away. This most likely foreshadows the events of "Revelator".
- When Adrien watches the video of Aurore's weather facts at the beginning of the episode, the instrumental of the song "Big Bang" by Clara Nightingale can be heard in the background.
- Pegasus' transformation sequence has been reanimated.
- Before he does his end pose, his poses reference to the video game Just Dance at the bottom right corner of the screen, where mini projections mimic his poses.
- On the end card, hearts with all superheroes' icons appear, except Ryuko's, possibly an accidental omission on the part of the staff.
Errors
- In the English dub, When Adrien is making pancakes, Plagg gasps, but the gasp is in his French dub voice.
- Chloé, who's living in London, says that the contest will end at 1pm. However, it ends at 1pm in Paris, in which the timezone is one hour ahead of London's.
- When Diane discovers that Aurore takes part in Chloé's contest, the timer says that it ends in an hour. But when Aurore is in the toilet shortly before her akumatization, it says that the contest ends in ten minutes.
- When Nino opens his cellphone, Kim is not wearing his Miraculous.
- Despite Max wearing his Markov watch on his right arm in other episodes and the transformation sequence, it's on his left arm during the scene before he transforms.
- When Climatiqueen was running on the roof and shooting at students in the collège's courtyard, Adrien, Marinette and Aglaé walked through the door to the School infirmary.
- After defeating the supervillain, when Adrien brought the glass to Aglaé, its texture merged with Adrien's hand.
