—Chloé to Marinette Dupain-Cheng, "Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie" |
Chloé Bourgeois is a supporting character of "Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie". She is a student at Collège Françoise Dupont and the rival of Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Appearance[]
Physical Appearance[]
Chloé is a bit taller than average height, with messy dirty-blonde hair tied into a messy ponytail. She wears vivid blue eyeshadow. She is pale-skinned, and has teal eyes.
Civilian Attire[]
Chloé is shown to typically wear a white t-shirt with nine black stripes on it. She wears sport jeans capris in color white, and a golden, crystallized belt. Chloé wears a yellow cardigan and has white sunglasses on the top of her head.
Her design resembles her original counterpart, but there is a major difference, her cardigan has two pockets on the left and right instead of just one pocket on the right.
Personality[]
Compared to her series version, Chloé is much more kinder and less mean in movie. Although Chloé still features such as a bossy, egotistical, and superficial. She has a great deal of vanity as seen when she has great care for her hair, her weight and her clothes. An example of that is when she gets upset with Marinette for causing a drop of coffee to fall on her Gabriel brand cashmere sweater and when Marinette lied to Chloé about a girl having the same sweater as her. She also does everything in her power to crush and loves making her rivals' lives miserable. This is evident in her relationship with Marinette, where she started stalking her with the desire to make her pay for ruining her sweater and ridiculing the girl for her crush on Adrien. She thinks highly of herself and lowly of others, believing that she deserves everything and takes pride in her luxurious lifestyle.
While being careless to anyone but herself, Chloé can also be easily scared of danger often caused by akumatized villains. Also, when in a situation of her own making that puts her in danger, she always tries to deviate her fault to another, like when she blamed Sabrina for them being at the ferris wheel when it is detached from its supports and set in motion during the attack of the Magician and the Mime, when the idea of going was hers and Sabrina didn't even want to go.
However, unlike her main series counterpart, Chloé is very cautious about her social image and how people perceive her. Apparently, she doesn't abuse her status as the mayor's daughter to freely bully others or get out of any situation. This is seen when she grabs Marinette, after the latter "ruins" her sweater with coffee, but being forced to let her go and pretend they were friends when she noticed Alya recording the whole thing with her phone.
As shown by her helping Sabrina stand and later wishing Marinette a nice evening, she does have kindness within her.

Relationships[]
Sabrina Raincomprix[]
Much like in the original series, Sabrina is Chloé's "all-purpose girl", who is an important asset to her but she often bosses her around and treats her more like someone inferior to her than as an actual friend. If Sabrina fails or acts in a way that Chloé deems incompetent, she harshly reprimands her.
However, unlike in the original series, Chloé and Sabrina's relationship seems to be more of a realistic toxic friendship than a master/servant one, as the former often uses emotional blackmail to make Sabrina do whatever she wants her to, instead of just demanding or ordering her around just because. Chloé basically makes Sabrina feel like she is selfish and a bad friend for not wanting to do what she wants or following her around. However, Chloé does care for her, as she's seen helping her after Hawk Moth's attack.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng[]
Just like in the original series, Chloé despises Marinette in every way possible and they have nothing in common. In the movie, Marinette accidentally spills coffee all over her sweater which makes her get really frustrated at Marinette and his about to torture her. Thankfully, Alya saves Marinette by starting to record Chloé's behavior and threatens to post in on the internet which makes her stop what she was doing and leaves in a huff.
Later on, Chloé seems to have softened her views on Marinette as during the end of the movie, Chloé in her own way, encourages Marinette to have fun during the party and even go after Adrien, suggesting that she has opted to be a better person somewhat.
