René d'Herblay Aramis de Vannes was a French musketeer. She was a past Miraculous holder, wielding the Ladybug Miraculous and transforming into La Coccinelle, a ladybug-themed superhero, when Tikki inhabited it.[1]
Appearance
Physical appearance
Aramis' skin was a light shade and had ark eyes. Her facial structure was sharp yet smooth completed with her short dark hair as well as her dark thin eyebrows.
Civilian attire
Aramis very thin, she hid her femininity under loose clothing to conceal her feminine nature. When on duty in his company, he wore a royal blue sleeveless jacket (undercoat) over a puffy blouse with a white collar. He also wore a hat with a brown feather topped with a golden feather.
As La Coccinelle
La Coccinelle had long dark hair and blue eyes. She wore a brown cavalier hat with red feathers, and over her upper face, she wore a red mask. Her outfit included a red tabard that ended partially down her legs with black dots and black wavy edges on the bottom edge. Underneath the tabard, she had a white long-sleeved shirt with a folded collar. She wore a black cloth corset over the tabard that had a black backside, and around her waist, she wore a belt with a black scabbard. The scabbard held La Coccinelle's silver rapier when she wasn't using it. She also wore black leggings, white gloves, and tan boots with white edges that started above her knees.
Abilities
As a civilian
She was a musketeer, and her second weapon was a rapier, which suggests that La Coccinelle had excellent swordsmanship skills and was good at dual-wielding.
As a superhero
If this past Ladybug Miraculous holder had the same powers as the current Ladybug, she had enhanced abilities and the superpowers Lucky Charm and Miraculous Ladybug. She also had the yo-yo for a weapon.

Trivia
- Feri González revealed the character as her ninth Inktober drawing, noting that she was created and designed by Thomas Astruc.[1]
- In French, la coccinelle means "the ladybug".
- She is the second person of French origin to wield the Ladybug Miraculous, succeeding Jeanne d'Arc and preceding Marinette.
- The image of La Coccinelle is a modified version of the painting A Cavalier by Jean-Louis Ernest Meissonier, a 19th-century Classicist painter and sculptor famous for his depictions of Napoleon, his armies and military themes.
- Not only she was a past holder of the Ladybug Miraculous, she was also part of the group that inspired Alexandre Dumas to write The Three Musketeers (one of the three musketeers is named René d'Herblay, and his alias is Aramis).
- Having in consideration how the fictional character based on her is described as waving between his religious calling and his fondness for women and intrigue, it's unknown how much on the character matches with the real deal.
- Because of the time she lived on, it's possible that, in order to become a musketeer, Aramis pretended to be a man, only adopting her female identity when she was transformed into La Coccinelle.
- If that is true, it's unknown if any of her close companions knew about her real gender.
- Not just that, but, assuming she did hid her gender, it's possible that the description of her character on the book was a façade she herself created to protect the truth about her real gender.
- This could be a reference to the 1987 anime The Tree Musketeers, in which Aramis is a woman who pretends to be a man.
- If that is true, it's unknown if any of her close companions knew about her real gender.
- La Coccinelle was one of the past Ladybug Miraculous holders to meet Bunnyx, a Rabbit Miraculous holder who was chosen by the current holder of her Miraculous, Ladybug.
