Professor[1] Doctor[2] Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale[3] is a minor character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is a scientist who managed to bring the dinosaurs back to life.

Anne-Jeanne has a tan complexion with chocolate brown eyes and hair, she has a button nose and pink lips.
Civilian attire[]
She wears a dress with flower and leaf patterns and a lab coat. She also wears glasses, gloves, a necklace and a daisy hairclip.
Personality[]
Anne-Jeanne is really smart, being able to bring the dinosaurs back to life, and later create hybrids with pigeons. At times, she doesn't think her decisions through, as seen in "Rocketear", when she asks herself whether it was a good decision to bring the dinosaurs back.
Abilities[]
Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale is quite the skilled scientist, and her level even goes beyond the point of bringing the dinosaurs back to life, which she did. Although, as mentioned in "Hack-San", she had major help from Markov, Max Kanté's robot friend.

In "Rocketear", Anne-Jeanne works up with Ladybug, Cat Noir and Carapace to round up the dinosaurs that she brought back to life. She was glad to see them help her and they became acquaintances.

In "Rocketear", Bob offers to buy the tyrannosaurus rexes from her, planning to put them on an island and then turning it into a theme park that will make him even richer. This may probably explain that Bob is unfriendly towards Anne-Jeanne and is considered her enemy.

Season 4[]

In "Hack-San", Anne-Jeanne is seen on video call with Markov, with him multitasking while doing so. They talk about how his new formula may revolutionize science. Markov later asks her if she's had time to read his dinosaur theory.

Soon, when Markov clicks on a pop-up advertisement of a cute little kitten, the titular villain infects him, making him go rogue. He then tells Anne-Jeanne that she better give up on science before science gives up on her, hanging up on her.
In "Rocketear", it's revealed that Anne-Jeanne had previously brought four tyrannosaurus rexes back to life, keeping them under control with a dino call. When she loses this dino call, the tyrannosaurus rexes go on a rampage all over Paris. Anne-Jeanne was then helped by Ladybug in looking for the dino call.

Eventually, she finds the dino call under her cyclotron and Ladybug takes her to the Parc des Princes, where Cat Noir and Carapace were holding the tyrannosaurus rexes with Shell-ter. Anne-Jeanne then uses her dino call on tyrannosaurus rexes as they break out of protective shield, revealing them. She soon starts rubbing one of the tyrannosaurus rexes' belly as the heroes leave, wishing her luck.

After waving goodbye, Anne-Jeanne wonders if it was the best idea to bring the tyrannosaurus rexes back to life as she was confused on what to do with them. She then hugs one of the tyrannosaurus rexes', telling them that they're all gonna eat her entire food budget. Just then, Bob Roth flies over the, on a helicopter, talking with a speaker. He offers to buy the tyrannosaurus rexes from her, planing to put them on an island and then turning it into a theme park that will make him even richer.
Season 5[]
In "Jubilation", it's revealed that Anne-Jeanne had created tyrannosaurus-pigeon hybrid dinosaurs, which escape from her and start flying all over Paris. Luckily for her, Ladybug brings them back to her. This situation makes people, such as Nadja Chamack, wonder if this will cause the debate for the need for the creatures to continue.
In "Re-creation", when one month had passed since the universe was re-created by Gabriel Agreste, Anne-Jeanne goes on the TVi news. There she talks about how the worldwide nightmare epidemic followed by the victory of Ladybug over Monarch, with her Miraculous Ladybug swarming the planet to repair everything and free them, created global awareness. Anne-Jeanne then starts talking about the importance of controlling one's negative emotions.

Etymology[]
- Anne-Jeanne's initials, A.J.T. du Bocquale, when pronounced in French, sounds like "agité du bocal", an expression that refers to a hyperactive person.
Trivia[]
- Anne-Jeanne is the fifth new character, after Mrs. Bianca, Harry Clown, Su-Han, and Zoé Lee, to be introduced in season 4.
- She is based on Ranitea Gobrait, a young Polynesian champion.[4]
- According to Thomas Astruc, Anne-Jeanne is the youngest genius scientist of France in the Miraculous Universe.[5]
- Anne-Jeanne's existance may have been foreshadowed during "Cat Blanc". This is because while Ladybug is going through the timelines in Bunnyx's burrow, Ladybug sees a dinosaur roaring. After that, about 20 episodes later, she makes her first appearance.
- During Japan Tours Festival 2022, some of the series' writers mentioned that Anne-Jeanne would become the new sciene teacher at Collège Françoise Dupont, although this wasn't seen in Season 5.[6]
- Since Olga Mendeleiev was the school's principal in "Collusion" and "Revolution", it's possible that Anne-Jeanne was supposed to replace her, but the storyline was scrapped.
