Aglaé is a minor character in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir first introduced in season 6.
In "Wreckless Driver", in the past at some point after Monarch's defeat, on her first day of school, Aglaé was akumatized by Chrysalis into Lady Butterfly, a butterfly-themed supervillain, after Ray, Loïc, and Nelson locked her inside the school's butterfly house.
Appearance[]
Physical Appearance[]
Aglaé is a pale skinned teenage girl with a goth-like appearance. She has long black hair with white streaks tied in a long braid, and dark gray eyes.
Civilian Attire[]
She wears a huge, hooded sweater with purple details that covers her black shorts. She wears a pair of purple tights, a pair of purple socks with ghost-shaped patterns, and black shoes with buckles. She also has a transparent choker with a black pattern.
As Lady Butterfly[]
Lady Butterfly wore a full-body metallic lilac suit that fit snugly to her figure. Her wide, rounded sleeves appeared inflated, as if filled with air or energy, while her legs were covered in smooth, form-fitting fabric. She sported a closed helmet in the same pearly purple color, featuring a dark visor that completely covered her eyes. Small white antennae extended from the sides of the helmet.
Her most distinctive feature was her enormous wings, which unfolded from her back in a curved, pointed shape. The wings were pink, adorned with darker patterns that resembled the natural swirls and markings of a butterfly. Additionally, her dark hair was tied into two curly pigtails that could be seen peeking out from beneath the helmet.

Personality[]
Aglaé is a very shy, vulnerable and soft-spoken girl. She is usually seen holding sage flowers to try to ward off akumatizations and is extremely afraid of akumatized villains. When an akuma attack occurs, she curls up completely, freezing in place. Despite her fears, Aglaé is very supportive of her friends and shows great attention to the people close to her, trying to reassure them, even if her words may sometimes lead people to make mistakes.
Her extreme fear of akumatization and akumatized villains is the result of accumulated trauma that was left unattended for months. It started with Alix's first akumatization into Timebreaker, as Aglaé was one of the people she stole time from, causing her to disappear. That experience had such an impact on Aglaé that she developed this fear, which then evolved into something worse, which was her being scared of butterflies. It caused her to lock herself in her own room and avoid school.
Despite the end of Monarch, she's still afraid of butterflies. It was taken advantage of by Ray, Loïc, and Nelson, who locked her at the school's butterfly garden, leading to her akumatization into Lady Butterfly. Despite being de-akumatized by Ladybug, the recorded footage of her akumatization haunted her, causing her fear to evolve to include all types of insects and anything related to them, including insect-themed superheroes, like Ladybug.
However, Aglaé has tried to overcome her trauma, her friends doing their best to help her after she told them about it and suggested that she seek professional help, like the school's psychotherapist, who had helped some of them with many types of issues they were struggling with. Her eagerness to overcome her trauma caused her to be overwhelmed when she was informed that therapy would take a long time. This resulted in her directing her frustrations towards Dr. Psiquat, which led to the latter's akumatization. Eventually, she was able to give therapy a chance and, with the help of her friends and Dr. Psiquat, she managed to take an important step to overcome her fears.
As Lady Butterfly, her main objective was to get back at the bullies for locking her in the butterfly room, encasing them in cocoons. However, she soon enough directed her attention towards the rest of the Parisians.
Abilities[]
As a Civilian[]
Due to her fear of akumatized villains, Aglaé has researched ways to prevent her friends from being akumatized, one of them being the use of flowers, especially sage. Since she is studying Japanese in secondary school, she has a basic or even advanced knowledge of the subject.
As Lady Butterfly[]
Lady Butterfly had the ability to trap her victims in cocoons. She was able to fly like an actual butterfly.
Relationships[]
Friends[]
Aurore Beauréal[]
Aglaé and Aurore are good friends and get along well. In "Climatiqueen", when she sees Aurore upset, Aglaé fears she might get akumatized, so she sprinkles sage on her and encourages her to stay true to herself—unaware that this would give Aurore the idea to spy on Adrien and Marinette in order to gain fame within the Bee Community by spreading the rumor that the two would break up. During break time, when she couldn't find her, Aglaé searched for her everywhere, deeply worried. When Aurore was akumatized into Climatiqueen, Aglaé froze in place upon hearing her voice.
In "The Dark Castle", they are seen hanging out at Alix's birthday party.

Alix Kubdel/Bunnyx/Timebreaker[]
Aglaé was severely traumatized by Alix, who had been transformed into the akumatized villain Timebreaker. During their encounter, Alix made Aglaé disappear, leaving her believing it was the end of her life. Fortunately, Miraculous Ladybug was able to restore everything to normal. However, Aglaé struggled to forget this traumatic experience and chose to isolate herself at home, fearing the outside world. Although she eventually returned to school in season six, she continued to be afraid of butterflies and the possibility of akumatization—both for herself and for others. In "Wreckless Driver", Aglaé confided in psychologist Dr. Psiquat about her anxiety and is now working with her to find a solution to her psychological issues. Despite her trauma, Aglaé does not seem to hold a grudge against Alix; she even attended Alix's birthday party in "The Dark Castle".
Rose Lavillant[]
Aglaé and Rose seem to be good friends. In "Daddycop", Rose briefly considers inviting her to the girlfriends' movie night.
Enemies[]
Raymond Pugnant Loïc Stompet and Nelson de Glusset[]
In "Wreckless Driver," it is revealed that on the first day of school, Ray, Loïc, and Nelson decided to mock Aglaé for her fear of butterflies. They pretended to be kind to her but then locked her inside the butterfly enclosure. This caused Chrysalis to sense her negative emotions and use them to akumatize her into Lady Butterfly. Ray and his friends attempted to escape, but the akumatized villain sealed them in cocoons. They were eventually rescued by Ladybug. In "Vampigami," when Ray, Loïc, and Nelson took Prem's paper vampire bat, Aglaé was one of the few who stood up for him. However, the trio was too arrogant to apologize. When Nelson admitted they had gone too far, Aglaé suggested that they should make amends to Prem.
