The École militaire is a military higher education institution located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

Built in the 18th century by the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel at the request of Louis XV, the École militaire is a monumental complex in neoclassical style which closes the south-eastern perspective of the Champ de Mars and overlooks the Eiffel Tower.
The facade consists of a two-story plaza of Corinthian columns. It has a decorated pediment above which a dome with a clock and several sculptures has been erected.
Known for being the seat of studies of Emperor Napoleon I, this school today houses all military higher education organizations, including the Center des Hautes Etudes Military and Command Doctrine and Teaching Center.

- The École militaire has been declared a Historic Monument since 1990.
- This institution is the place of study where soldiers study to rise in rank.
- Being the Brigade des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Paris (BSPP) a unit of the French army, it is therefore in this school that Hessenpy studied to rise through the ranks and reach the rank of Captain.
