Why does it look like Chat is gonna smack that booty on the cover of Miraculous Adventures Issue 4?😂😂😂😭
I haven't decided whether the original comic book stories are necessarily canonical to the continuity of the television show. They might be, but then again they might also be written in such a way so that nothing happening in the comic is really going to impact the main story shown on television. Sort of a 'take-it-or-leave-it-it's-up-to-you' approach. Haven't actually seen the issue in question. I got #1, but was kind of disappointed by the artwork and didn't continue after that. I have all the other ones, the original series that adapt the episodes, though.
I've read a lot of comics based on TV shows or movies, and it's just kind of a weird thing, you know? The comic book writers have to be careful they don't step on the toes of what the TV writers are trying to do, and sometimes they might write some proposals for stories that don't get approved by Zagtoon or something. So they can't REALLY write something in comic story that's going to have a major effect on the characters, because most people are going to be watching the show but NOT reading the comic.
Most of the best comics based on TV shows or movies that I've read are ones based on shows or movie franchises that are no longer actively creating new episodes or sequels, and that sort of frees up the comic writers to be in control and move a cancelled TV series characters forward.
I don't know if I'm explaining this in a way that makes any sense to you. Do you sort of get what I'm saying?
Yeah it does !
What do you think?
